Thats modded up as fun, but its insightful too. Perhaps the original poster should have given a months cable bill to a charity instead of posting on slashdot?
I think I've got a pair somewhere. I also have a link to my Panasonic DTS amp, and from there to my surround speakers. It's great, I can control my audio from anywhere in the room - only problem is if I want to listen to a game and radio at the same time.

My 1 (one) story that got accepted to slashdot was accepted on my second posting - taco might ignore it, them timothy comes along and posts it. Or something. Most of the time it doesnt work though.

but how many of those users read on a daily basis - espeically at the weekend. Most users wont go on the site until monday morning. I'm a student, and dont have time to catch up on 2 days slashdot stories - with a full time job?
had this been posted friday morning, arround 10:00am, You'd get all of the u.s friday afternoon traffic (and europe, but in this case europes irrelevent). 8AM GMT (3AM NY time) on a sunday is possibly the lesat read timeslot - not a very good time for advert.
BTW my first userid was 140384, but I didnt use it much and forgot about it.

Would be interesting, however HDD read heads are different to CD's. A CD is a moving laser that goes in and out, a HDD head is more like a record player - you could get two heads on there, physically, you may even be able to get three, but they would be running very close to each other.
oh wait, this guy was with a startup, they probably just use it to play Quake...
With the funding they would got 3 years ago, they could have bought machines to play Quake 4! Instead they are stuck with that new pentium 3 and 2GB of RAM:(
Hey, that wasnt me!
MOD DOWN PARENT!
McPherson, Craig, doesnt look like a spammer - I remember a couple of years ago at LNO. He's a decent troll.
trollmastah@hotmail.com - Really, one of the countrys top spammers with a hopmail address?
*@adequacy.org - that well known site isn't spam central.
I should just gzip my mbox

So basically you say, you're going to die soon, so give some of that time you have left away!
Not the best line to sell your point.

Will we be able to slashdot every one of them though? PErhaps someone should post some mirrors

A total eclipse is rare because it takes about 54 years and 34 days for the total eclipse to return to (almost) the same area.
Tukey got a total eclipse in 1999, and will again in 2006 - both total eclipses. (mag 1.029 and mag 1.052) 7 years, not 50. RTFA
