    I think I've got a pair somewhere. I also have a link to my Panasonic DTS amp, and from there to my surround speakers. It's great, I can control my audio from anywhere in the room - only problem is if I want to listen to a game and radio at the same time.

    My 1 (one) story that got accepted to slashdot was accepted on my second posting - taco might ignore it, them timothy comes along and posts it. Or something. Most of the time it doesnt work though.

    but how many of those users read on a daily basis - espeically at the weekend. Most users wont go on the site until monday morning. I'm a student, and dont have time to catch up on 2 days slashdot stories - with a full time job?

    had this been posted friday morning, arround 10:00am, You'd get all of the u.s friday afternoon traffic (and europe, but in this case europes irrelevent). 8AM GMT (3AM NY time) on a sunday is possibly the lesat read timeslot - not a very good time for advert.

    BTW my first userid was 140384, but I didnt use it much and forgot about it.

    An article in fortune, with a 95% U.S. readership, is a lot more valuable then a Sunday morning article on an international geek site with arround 200,000 readers.

    A total eclipse is rare because it takes about 54 years and 34 days for the total eclipse to return to (almost) the same area.

    Tukey got a total eclipse in 1999, and will again in 2006 - both total eclipses. (mag 1.029 and mag 1.052) 7 years, not 50. RTFA

    Would be interesting, however HDD read heads are different to CD's. A CD is a moving laser that goes in and out, a HDD head is more like a record player - you could get two heads on there, physically, you may even be able to get three, but they would be running very close to each other.

    Can anyone with a clue answer this question?

    oh wait, this guy was with a startup, they probably just use it to play Quake...

    With the funding they would got 3 years ago, they could have bought machines to play Quake 4! Instead they are stuck with that new pentium 3 and 2GB of RAM :(
