You have a point. In this light, I fail to see how they expect us to find the good stuff from the bad in a given album, when you're limited to 200 songs. That isn't much at all.
It's one thing to try and do something WITHOUT gravity, that I had originally learned how to do WITH gravity. That's what this experiment was
attempting to do.
I'd be more interested in how well they did learning, for example, to play hacky sack (passing a small, bean-filled leather bag using only your feet). if
they had no prior experience with the game, I'd be interested in seeing how well they did, learning it in zero-G; compared to others learning how to do
it with normal gravity. That would be a more valid experiment in my book.
Bonus: refer to previous article for compilation

Isn't it ironic that this article (23 seconds kernel compile) was posted just before the GTK+ 2.0 article, knowing that compiling GTK+ probably requires just about as much time to compile as the Linux kernel ?
But then, there are Qt, Gnome, KDE... Doh, need more CPU:)
Well, of course they have (it would be silly from them on a commercial ground to do otherwise).
What I have in mind specifically is how one will be able to interact with the device, possibly using a non-MS operating system.
Technically their device runs their own proprietary OS called Wisdom OS. The documentation of their windosw-based application (TrueSync Desktop) suggests that open protocols are used, such as POP3, SMTP etc.
However for your calendar / contacts database app, Outlook seems to be the only choice...
...let alone OC-x, would be like trying to drink from a fire hose:)
Besides, if LEDs would blink so well that you can reconstruct the signal with consumer-grade equipment, wouldn't we all be using optical networks by now?!
The article reads: ...plans to introduce its hit "i-mode" mobile Internet access service in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands within the next two months.
While this is great I suppose, I am surprised that they will not begin with the usual heavy-weight mobile-phone-friendly countries, such as Finland, Sweden..
Anyway, depending on how they package their services and what you get for the price, that may be very interesting and very cool. I'm actually excited to see that finally EU/US will be catching up with some Japanese gadgets:)
Since blue light is more or less 2 x shorter wavelength than red, a blue laser can read 4 x more (2 dimentions) pits from the disc surface than a red can.
Well, perhaps this new DVD format is just what HDTV needs to start-off. Since you have to buy a new TV set for HDTV, a new DVD format to store high-definition movies makes perfect sense.
I don't know about you, but I am in more favor of a new media with increased capacity, rather than seeing more and more compression on screen. Some DVDs in the likes of Magnolia or Titanic hurt my eyes, because you notice compression artifacts so much.
A new DVD format may take 10 years to become really widespread, but isn't this what happened to DVDs and audio-CDs. I'm ready to accept this change.
I don't know how much the GSM dialup option would cost your company after a full day's work, and that is supposing that your battery will last that long, and that your power adapter will allow simultaneous call + charging. Anyway, your employer might think twice for the next backup options:)
Maybe a backup computer may be a good idea, in case you can't work anymore for whatever computer-related reason (virus, HDD crash...). And a second modem + analog line is cheap.
I'm a flaming geek, and as such I want to buy the sexiest GPS-capable wristwatch on the market.
Any brand/model springs to mind, anyone?

I guess I'll stick with my mpegs for the moment :)
I want to see this running on my boxen before making my own opinion. Linux to the desktop!
Looser AC.
It's weird that your post was not modded up, because your ideas certainely were interesting.
this article. Oh well..

It costs too much to build a house these days and most of it is not the raw materials... so I'm really looking forward to this!!
Oh wait, there is also dec.com and the likes :)
Since your monitor can only refresh the screen at a rate of 76 Hz (or 85 or 100), everything above this is wasted.
I read it yesturday in an article from IT edition of the Financial Times.
But then, there are Qt, Gnome, KDE ... Doh, need more CPU :)
Doh, nevermind... ;)
Let's hope all these new sexy users won't spam my mailbox more than it is already :)

I wonder what does this means exactly.
Features are explained in greater detail on the Motorola site.

lol, good analogy :)
If your question was, why is red being promoted, then I really can't see a reason other than lobbies.
That's basically it.

Ha ha ha.... Suckers! They only got what they deserved.
No hard feelings, it's just business after all.

You agreed to it when you signed up for your bandwidth. Are they violating that?
Now... also.
If you are telecommuting for real (you aren't working for yourself).. your employer should be paying for the bandwidth.
As for downtime.. if the downtime is so important, get multiple connections.
