  1. Read it completely wrong again ... on Hard Drive Prices Slide As Thai Flood Aftermath Subsides · · Score: 1

Im very sorry if someone gets offended but I truly read the headline as: Hard Drive Prices Slide As Thai Food Aftermath Subsides

  2. Re:One big ad for Apple on Rings Digital Dailies Circled Globe via iPod · · Score: 1

Since the guy walked to the studio, I bet he listened some music on his way there. Not too bad use for mp3 player...

  3. More info about Big Dig and other massive sites on Boston's Big Dig Finally Open · · Score: 2, Informative

Discovery Channel has visited the Dig in Extreme Engineering series. There's lots of stuff to explore online too.

  4. Parents on Take-Two Interactive and Sony Sued Over GTA · · Score: 1

This is all because a some parents just don't care what their kids do. It is a 'good' thing to buy a console as a babysitter and let the kids play. The same parents don't care to check what kind of games their kids play. They don't care about age ratings when they buy the games. But after their kids do something incredibly stupid they wake up to reality and start blaming everyone else but themselves. It still is parents' responsibility to raise the kids. Not some plastic box with neato controllers.

  5. dang... on Renaissance Potters Were Nanotechnologists · · Score: 1

I just read the headline and thought these Nanotechnologists were related to Harry Potter. Woulda' made fine sixth edition tho: "Harry meets nanotechnologist Potter from renaissance"....

  6. Re:The Babylon 5 flight sim? on Unfinished Adventures · · Score: 1

The B5 flight sim cancellation was a sad story. Instead of releasing one of the most anticipated (amongst us fans) game of the year they released Bull Rider... Oh joy...

  7. Re:Wafer-Thin Flatbed Scanner on Portable Scanner Solutions for Research? · · Score: 1

Older Canon scanners are supported in OS X with VueScan from Hamrick software. Im scanning away with my FB630U which isn't natively supported on OS X by Canon.

  8. Spies on Exchange Email Addresses With A Handshake · · Score: 1

I was just thinking that the art of spying gets easier with this technology. One can transmit valuable data by touch. Or you could be a carrier of super-secrets and not even know it!

Now instead of having their laptops lost, they get their PDAs stolen...

  9. Dodge the tv advertising... on Pop-up Ads Coming to A TV Near You · · Score: 2, Interesting

I think I've been quite successful not to watch commercials for two years. I got rid of my TV set. Actually it broke and I didn't replace it.

These days I watch movies and my favourite sci-fi series DVDs on my computer which has pretty good stuff attached to secure comfortable viewing of such media.

    Look ma, no in-between-ads!

News you ask? I get plenty of that at work. Working in a newspaper has its advantages...
