I have a PDF reader on my phone, admittidly it never came with the phone and i installed it myself. However, does not carrying around a mini portable keyboard and whipping that out when you want to do stuff detract from its portability and instant ease of use.
The fact she's known for that proves not everyone is able to achieve those rates;)
Hmmm i cant type 95wpm on a qwerty keyboard with 100 % accuracy (talk to me on IRC to prove this one)
Can you do 95wpm on a sylus qwerty keyboard, i doubt it. I can type on my phone keys at a decent speed with PredTXT switched on. Its a handicap for some things but for a SLIGHT disadvantage at typeing speeds (only really use when entering peoples names and the like) the advantages that i get far outwiegh
it
Agreed, how ever for taking notes i use the voice recorder and then add it in later via the bluetooth link and software on the PC. This is where phones like the P900 (and to a lesser extent the p800) work, although more expensive they have the same input type as the PDA, with stylus and touch screen.
However when i use SMS the use of predictive texting has about an 80% first time hit rate and in the hands of a average texter is not a disadvantage over a small qwerty keyboard, seriously, if you have not watched some of the kids today type on those keyboards its very fast, i think one Japanese girl hit something like 95wpm.

(soz when i do ahref's from this machine they dont work)
PDA sales are falling all over the world except EU, this can be attributed to the power of the mobile phones that are coming out at the moment. Seriously, i have a nokia 6600, what can the Zire's do that the 6600 cant. This phone has Calendar, Notepad, Plays music, Expandable memory, Todo lists, convertors, voice recorder, Camera (with video function) Address list, opera, games, email the list goes on
But it uses Symbian a better OS that i can upgrade, alter and get hundreds of progreammes for.
Its a nice little bit of cheap tech but would rather have the phone (prefer a p900 though)
If I want a copy of the record I (see I do do it) can actually record them to the hard drive if i want to and them split the album into individual songs.
I dont use a car so there is no need for it to go out of the house really, all other tunes are stored on the computer. And trust me when I play my music you can hear it all through the house:)
Yes i Download songs, usually individual songs, if i really like what i hear i go out an buy the album... but and this is the thing, i only buy vinyl. I stopped bying cd's about 2 years ago when they all started coming with crap on (wtf is multimedia enhanced) half of them stopped working in at least one of the players that i own. If i cant get get it on Vinyl (if you are under 25 or a not DJ try it sometime, to my ears it gives a richer more comfortable sound) then i will either rip a CD or dl it.
The point is that until they make cd's a reasonable price compared to their production and distribution costs (please start your rant engines now ladies and gentlemen) and stop trying to make them more attractive with all sorts of cr@p on them that stops them working in most players then the invitation is not there to buy CD's in the numbers that i used to (maybe 30 vinyl ablums and maybe 20 cd's a month)
I know that this sounds like a rant but its what i feel;P
Instead of Getitng a Handheld pc why not consider a newer Mobile phone, Both the Sony p800 (older) and the newer P900 come with opera built in, they would need no wireless point as they obviously use gprs to connect to the internet, you can also set up mailboxs on the phone to connect to your email servers. To a lesser extent you might also want to consider the Nokia 6600 (what i have) as it does almost all of the above but cheaper than the p900 (but not touch screen)
Hey there, i followed the link and spookily recognised some of the names and stuff and i know bristol is around 51'02 so i zoomed out on the streetmapand no wonder i recognised the names.... i am from Shirehampton hehehe.
I would be more worried about the fact that rather than being supplied with the data that they originally requested, they now potentially have the logs/records/recordings/information of all the transactions and customer records and IRC conversations ever hosted by this...
Will they delete the 'copied' data after they have finished, keeping only the information that they originally wanted, please this is v bad...
Hmmm try harder next time, this kinda of purile crap just seems to crop up all the time, i think its about time you joined the GNAA as its obviously the type of hyped up trashy shit that you are used too.
Can someone please mod this down (and this post too) so that it dissapears.
If you are going to slag of the English and the monarchy then please spell it HONOUR rather than the lazy version.
