The good stuff in Open Office (file format i/o) ought to be ripped out to make a Cocoa app. Sun's plans to make a roughly Aqua-looking app will be a disaster.
Aqua isn't just an appearance and I doubt Sun will ever understand that.
The clueless Sun people seem to want to use Aqua widgets instead of making a proper Mac app. In other words the Aqua appearance without the Aqua behavior.
I doubt anybody will be fooled by your "Aquified" version. Aqua is not only an appearance, but a behavior. I've been pulling enough hair with Aqua-looking Swing apps as it is.
I have a new TiPB and it isn't as easy. You have to remove the bottom panel.
If I heavily get into 802.11b I'll likely look for an easier way. However by then cracking tools will be available for 3rd party cards like the EnGenius Senao or whatever.
Most web sites work without JavaScript, CSS, etc. Well at least sites with actual content.
My primary reason for using IE is it has the better Mac interface. It supports drag+drop peroperly and supports InternetConfig settings. In fact without IE I couldn't even change the system-wide MIMEfilename extensionHFS type mappings.
It's SAD that Explorer, which hasn't improved in a VERY long time, still has the best interface.
Yes, I have tried EVERY Mac OS X browser out there!
POSIX isn't inherently good. Actually, I hate apps which use POSIX file paths as file primitives. If you change the path the application loses track of the file. How retarded is that?
remote controls will no longer have a "mute" button. People who use existing mute buttons will be rounded up into camps and executed. Families will be billed for the cost of execution.
In the winter, field mice are attracted to the warmth of the building. One of them decided to build its nest under the speaker of my AppleII! It was eating cough drops (wel, licking them) and leaving black poops all over the place. I took the machine outside in a plastic bag and let it out only to see it run back in the building within a second.

once? more like if...

I find UFS slower.
I'm not going to use a filesystem unless, at the very least, it supports FileIDs.

Many Cocoa apps link to CoreServices for which there is no alternative.
Then I hope they note all the criticisms for using "textured" windows and the lack of a file type mapping panel in System Preferences.
Bookmarks can be imported from using the "Show All Bookmarks" command in the Bookmarks menu. Look at the left column.
I'm still waiting for Apple to provide a panel in System preferences for file type mappings. Grr.
You forgot to mention System Preferences still lack a panel to change the file type mappings. You still have to use IE for that.
FYI: You can change the main browser window to not be "textured" using interface builder. I did this, the result is pleasing.
The only thing out there is a bunch of ROCKS!
There! I said it! Give me your worst you lonely geologists!
Why not research something which is actually interesting, like the oceans? We don't know SQUAT about them!
I thought Rendevouz was for service discovery in the MAC addressing plane.

Doesn't the next firewire also support 100' cables?
I bought a 15ft firewire cable for $9
Forgot where though...
AppleTalk is easier to discover on a network.

9) ...
10) Profit!
The poor performance of UFS isn't Apple's fault.
Why would anybody use UFS anyway?
A possible fix is using QuickTime plugin to view png images

Well there were 7 million amigas sold
What the hell is an FDD?

The corners of the windows arne't 'vectors' or even paths, they are bitmaps.
In fact very little of what you see are paths.
Quartz isn't 'lightweight'. In fact it uses oodles of RAM.
Notice the missing binaries like WindowManager.
There is nothing to revive. NSHost was based on piping postscript commands. Quartz is a different animal.
RIP
