This is a clear example of what happens when companies ignore the important OpenVMS and OS/2 markets.

It is well known that the only people using windows are computer-illiterate morons, which is NOT the correct audience for a game that requires intelligence.

If somebody can figure out how to use OpenVMS, or manages to get OS/2 running on anything not manufactured by IBM, they clearly have the necessary intelligence to enjoy a game such as this.

    Which is really nice.

Better idea: Dual 1.25Ghz G4 w/ superdrive (with 256MB, cheaper to buy RAM seperately) - same price, and better performance in many areas.

Now if you compare two DUAL machines, the G5 is the clear winner. But dual G4 vs. single G5... no contest, G4 is cheaper/equal price and faster with dual-capable tasks, and multitasking in general.

Yeah, I've pretty much decided that I haven't got that long to go, so I might as well play it cool 'till I'm "free". I'm not that rebellious compared to the average person my age, and I also believe in God, which helps. And I don't hate my parents, I just think they're both a bit nutty and pretty annoying. (So am I, it runs through the whole family.)

I actually think that not watching so much TV/Movies (I occasionally watch the news and other non-fic TV) has been an advantage. And let me say that there are a lot of good older movies (especially the ol' black & white ones) that are not only cleaner than the new ones, but also often better. I'm a hitchcock fan personally. I also like talk radio (listening right now), which is far and away more informative, more educational, and less mind-numbing than TV.

As to good luck, I think you're the one who needs it most, if you're raising kids. :-D

As to books, I really don't read much fiction. I've read the entire left behind series as well as the navarone series. That's about it, unless you start counting all the books I read as a little kid.

I know enough of right and wrong that once I'm legally an adult I know which of my parents' rules to freely discard. :-D

The 90Mhz is running Slackware 9.0 and a bunch of other crud (see me latest journal entries, mate) and it works pretty well. If I had disabled external SSH access (not running the latest version :-O) I'd post a link to it right now... it'd be quite interesting to see it slashdotted... although it's dial-up, so I 'spose it wouldn't get enough bandwidth to do much more than clog my connection.

The 166Mhz I'm using right now, and I use it to play descent and stuff like that. Again, see my journal if you really care.
