It's not exactly censorship. Google created algorithms to rank pages based on several factors. They found that the algorithms were flawed and could be exploited by people like SearchKing. They fixed the algorithms. The fact that SearchKing or other link farms don't rank so highly anymore points more to effective changes to the algorithm than to censorship.

Until Google comes right out and says "We look for SearchKing specifically and downrank them!" It's not censorship nor is it wrong IMNSHO

Users still shouldn't expect something labled as beta to be a 1.0. Betas are supposed to be for testing and debugging. Too many people use Beta software in a production environment with the mindset of the parent poster. It says beta but it should really be a release. If it says beta expect bugs.

The mozilla project helped a growing trend of using beta software in production environments, but the blame still lies with the person installing the software and expecting it to be release quality.

The rules only apply to the front display, so if you have a passenger in the front seat they don't get to watch because it could be a distraction to the driver. Rear displays are still ok. Of the units I've seen installed the cut off stops the display in the front from either turning on, or ejecting from inside the unit (display comes out and folds up) specifically so that multiple display setups still work.

Your second point is valid, the onboard navigation unit can be just as distracting, but I don't believe they fall under the regulation which is for tv/dvd type media. Of course this is going to vary by locale, and I can only speak specifically for Nevada. Though I understand California, Washington, and Oregon are also regulated. I also have a friend that runs a car audio shop and he has to explain to people constantly about what they can/can't do, and then how to get around it.

Things like that do exist. In dash DVD players have to be hooked up so that they are disabled when the car is started in some states. However, every installation I've seen for one of those things has had a switch hidden somewhere instead of being hooked up to the ignition. Or, a switch in the middle to hide the fact that the safety feature is disabled. I can't speak for all states, but it's that way in several.

Consider urban warfare. You could be facing attack from soldiers and civillians. While your standard weapons are perfect for mowing down enemy soldiers, there are political implications to mowing down civilians. Unless of course you are Isreal killing Palastenian civillians, then it's just collateral damage. Ok, political bias aside, that's probably the reason for pepper spray.

Hell, I would have bought a 12" PowerBook 6 months ago, and still might. I got my wife a laptop for use with school. It is faster than the pc she was using, and once it showed up she decided that she liked the OS better. The only real requirment she put on me when purchasing her laptop was that it had to be small. When I showed her the small sony's they were out because of the lack of a cdrom drive. This left the iBooks. She loves her iBook, and the only thing I don't like about it is the speed.

I'd pay the differance in price just for the faster processor, and the advantages of the G4 over the G3. The SuperDrive option is also really cool, and I'm sure if we get her the powerbook we'll get that too.

This may not sell a huge amount, but it will certainly be a nice upgrade for those that like the iBooks small size, but want a little more punch.

Or maybe it's just me ;)

Of course they could be giving the whole site a ui revamp to match what we see in this address book website.

Also, why would Apple put an image of a new Mac OS X feature on the mac.com site rather than the apple.com site. They resolve to the same address but are most certainly contained within differant directory structures. Fire fighting drones would be especially beneficial as most of the planes used to do this are old. During the last fire season here in northern Nevada a plane split up during a run (the wings literally ripped right off) and the crew was killed. Another plane went down in Colorado, and another in Idaho. Losing a drone to a fire fighting accidant would be much better than losing lives. While human error is a consderation most of the accidants appeared to be due to poor maintenance on the planes or simply due to the age of the planes.

Of course since the Forestry service can't afford newer planes now, I don't see how they will be able to afford drones in the future. Regardless of how much cheaper they may or may not be.

The area-51m is more expensive configured similarly to the powerbook, and it still has less features.

The reason I think it is very important to point out that the area-51m doesn't use a mobile p4 is that the desktop p4's don't work as well when not connected to power where a mobile P4 is meant to work efficiently without AC. The PowerBook G4 doesn't have this problem.

Also, I would hardly consider ANY box with a Radeon 9000 a gaming machine. The Mobile Radeon 9000 is based on the same tech as the Radeon 8500 if I remember correctly, and many people had nothing but trouble gaming with the Radeon 8500 series.
