I don't know if you read the Article (lol), but let me quote it for you:
Groening and the show's executive producer, David X. Cohen, were happy that the demand was there, because they both felt they had more to say. "Not that I think our show is like Star Trek, but (the original) Star Trek didn't last that long, but it went on and on and on (after it was cancelled). And David Cohen and I talked about it; we had so many story ideas and so many characters that we hadn't gotten around to introducing yet. So I'm so pleased. You could have said what you said after the first two seasons, but there are so many awesome episodes in season 3 and 4 it proves you wrong (The Sting, Jurassic Bark, The Luck of the Fryish, Godfellas..). Futurama has gotten better and better.
I learned from Skylark who was part of the downgrade developing group that SonyxTeam was NOT involved in the creation of this downgrade AT ALL. Instead MPH did released it.
Sorry for messing up, please update the story for I don't think SonyxTeam's name deserves to be mentioned in the news:(

Fry: Man, how long is this gonna take?
Old Man: I'm still waiting on my birth certificate.
Farnsworth: Well it doesn't look like I'll make it inside with the rest of you. Uh but good luck. Just leave me where I drop.

A good example for nicely done statistics is Super Smash Bros Melee for the Nintendo Gamecube. I like how there is a statistic for nearly everything. Travel, jump and fly distance, Total damage given/taken, times/hours played and lots of others. There's not just all-time stats: At the end of every match you'll get a higly detailed statistic for the game. You'll get several awards which all have a certain (positive or negative) meaning - and there are lots of awards - there's a ingame explanation list which takes forever to scroll through.
A bad example is Mario Kart 64/DD. They just show wins and losses and don't even save them. I don't know how much time I spent with friends playing these games, but hell would it be fun to know by having 5 screens of statistics to watch.
I once was a damn big fan of you and your movies and also your game company Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts.
But somehow you seem to have been captured and replaced with some perverted Ferengi. Please notify me if you are free again and are willing to make some good decisions for your company's reputation, so I can reconsider buying something from you again.

I thought about the same issue a couple of days ago.
My conclusion was that what really sucks with random encounters isn't random encounters, but the "aww, not now"-moment.
And that is because battles need a long time to load/camera flight/swinging weapons/getting a thousand experience and lvl up screens. I sometimes wish for an option to skip these.
I had no motivation problems with bashing the monsters in Secret Of Mana. Because it was quick and fun.
The only thing I found until now (~8hrs playing) is releasing items at the right moment for not being hit by an incoming shell requires some timing.
Bad things:
- It's 2-4 Player hostile, they can't control the menus anymore, which is annoying if the 1st player is slow with selecting things.
- I think Nintendo wanted to make this game as simple as possible and therefore omitting a lot of user options. I don't like that. Ever wanted to have a really fair race without all the items or with the same chances to get good items? What problem would it be to integrate such functions? I want every little thing to be customizable, dammit!
This is IMO wrong, because they will have to produce less consoles then.
They will make a loss for every person which buys a console, but less than x games. Also the loss is certainly not the price which the console is for sale (and if it is, it is by coincidence).

Do you mind linking to a Sony press release saying the PS3 will have no online support?

You call that a small wm? That's a small wm:

also, there are no helper files whatsoever

This is based on consoles.

But don't you think that you are completely secure by just switching to OpenBSD.

You are in the wrong discussion. This is not about Final Reality 12.

Welcome to the real world.
So what? kisama = you (vulg.)

Maybe they could have translated it with 'damn you' or something..
But learning japanese is certainly a good idea, it's nice to see how oneself makes progress and starts to understand things better and better.
