Looks seriously unprofessional and quite obviously broken, but as the menubar is off by default, nobody's bothered to fix it.

Yeah, it stays logged in for about 15mins. This is probably a bodge to make it easier to re-try downloads that fail when, for example, Apple change the T+Cs on the App Store (every few weeks) and force you to accept new ones before you can download/update anything....

Very annoying that you can't even *update* an app, or download a free app without entering your App Store password.

I really with they're remove these exploitative 'not really free' apps from the Free Apps list... But no, they make Apple money...

Not sure why I've stuck with FF, really. They broke the menu bar in FF4 (on Win7 at least), and still haven't fixed it... and it's a glaringly obvious bug

What a mess... (I know, the menu bar is disabled by default... but some people like familiar, standard UI elements!). Yes, I could switch to Chrome like the rest of the world, but I'm a little opposed to Google having so much control over the browser, as well as the rest of the web...

Looks quite SIM-like to me - contacts seem clearly visible - the surface of it looks like ~90% copper contacts? Definitely not very practical to handle. Micro SIMs are small enough really - do we need to go any smaller?

That's the Micro SIM, and it's only been around for a couple of years as it is (only in the iPhone4/4S and iPad2/3)... That's pretty small as it is, going smaller so soon seems a bit unnecessary? I suspect that it's primarily so that carriers can charge more for micro/nano SIM contracts, as they know they'll be attached to premium smartphones...

    Doesn't deserve the downvotes.

Android is a nightmare for (game) developers. So many wildly varying specs, some missing major features (no FPU, no multi-touch!)

iOS has been a lot nicer, with only 3 screen resolutions to support, and all devices with FPUs, multi-touch, and PowerVR GPUs. But the new iPad is a big change, with it's huge resolution, making universal apps less practical.

I bought maybe 5 Blu-Ray movies. Then went back to buying DVDs. The HD quality is nice, but DVD was already pretty good. It's just not enough of a difference to justify a 50%-ish price premium over DVD. DVD is good enough - and almost everyone has at least one DVD player (for sharing DVDs with family+friends), but blu-ray players are far less common.

They don't want to touch WP7 as they can't run their existing C++/OpenGL ES codebases (from Android+iOS) on it. Look at how smoothly Angry Birds runs on iOS or Android compared to the WP7 version, on similar underlying hardware!

How about bringing the status bar back, too! The FF4 UI changes were one fail after another. The 3.x UI was fine, and FF4 simply removed/broke some standard and rather good functionality. The biggies being the loss of the status bar, and visual brokenness of the menu bar (under Windows, at least) when you turn it back on, to lose the nasty non-standard FF menu button. I'm still running FF3.6, and have even tried IE as a possible replacement for the alien and unwanted UI changes that FF4 brought...
