Don't make the mistake and buy the RT version as it won't run all of your "desktop software." I see much confusion over the different versions of Windows 8.
iOS and OSX look very different and run on different devices, whereas, Windows RT and Windows x86 look exactly the same and will run on identical hardware. Also, there isn't an OSX tablet to compete with an iOS tablet.
Regardless of the fact that he may be whoring for attention, he does make a valid point. How are you going to explain to consumers that Windows RT and Windows x86 aren't' the same when they are being marketed under the same brand? It's going to be very confusing.
oh, lordy, I loved the sound of floppies grinding away, and it was heaven when the the floppy ejected successfully and I was asked to insert another! Oh, lordy indeed!
You may need to join forces with John C. Dvorak, as he is brilliant at making predictions about all things Apple! He's yet to get one right, but hey, that's the nature of the game!
Apple have always been a hardware company and it uses its software to sell hardware. MS has always been a software company that made money by licensing its software to OEMs.
Every time I see another patent dispute article, I get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach! This is so reticules. The Chinese have learned well from the Americans -- the only winners are lawyers and more lawyers! Damn, who is going to step in and stop the madness!
You are correct! John Sculley nearly destroyed Apple. I remember reading that at the time of Steve's return to Apple, he was actually using a Windows machine. It took new vision and new leadership to turn Apple around --Microsoft needs to do the same and get rid of Steve B -- Why do they keep him around? Can someone please tell me what he has done to advance Microsoft?
They are just killing the mobile version not the desktop! Google Chrome has it built into the browser, so it will be around for quite some time! The mobile version never worked outside of using it to watch videos. It was very inconsistant from device to device, not to mention that it drained my battery and turned my tablet into a hot plate!
Why is aluminum is worst material for a laptop? I have tried several netbooks and I have been very disappointed with performance and especially the cheap, often too small keyboards. The Air has been the first really useful Ultra-book I've used. It is very fast, super thin, and well built. With the new prices, it can hardly be beat. Yes, you can get something less expensive, and I have 3 times, but 11.6 Air is just so light, thin and usable. You don't have too use OSX (I do), It is dead easy to install Windows or your favorite Linux distribution.
This is a great point! Maybe Facebook et al should have a disclaimer every time a user posts pictures and comments. It would be annoying, but at least people would not be surprised when their personal info shows up all over the internet.
Speak for yourself! I live in Indiana! Simon Property Group is a greedy company that have taken over many Malls across Indiana! I"m still going to shop online -- price and selection can not be beat!
NO! The patent system, as it stands, is the reason why every company seems to be suing every other company! It's completely broken, and it seems like companies have to sue each other as part of their operating procedures so they can have leverage when they negotiate cross-licensing! It's completely maddening!
Hackintosh community as drivers for AMD based netbooks and laptops would've become available. So wish AMD had the resources to meant high volume demands. Maybe next time!

Your customers will still be able to read the old .doc files, they just won't be able to export the files from Google Docs as .doc files.
From a technical perspective, would this mean that the iPhone 5 on Sprint would be unlocked too? It would be nice.

I know it's flamebait, but damn funny!
Brilliant! You need to copyright this ASAP!
I went to www.sco.com and lo and behold a new company has emerged from the ashes!
The one supported by by Webkit and Gecko?

That was funny! Thanks for the laugh!

Excellent point! Sure wish I could mod you up!

Touché -- I was afraid of that!

Use Mobile Fusion instead of the available solutions for ISO and Android? Does RIM have some upper-hand on management software? Just curious.
