    You have anywhere from 10's to 100's of thousands of relationships between documents, and you somehow think a good RDBMS wouldn't be of help? You may be an amazing site admin, but you're not much of a developer.

    Given the number of mistakes in this sentence, along with the pompous notion that process can somehow prevent logical errors, makes me very glad I don't work with, much less for, you.

    (If you code for NASA, perhaps you have the luxury of a process that does prevent logic errors. Somewhere around 99.9999999999% of us do not.)

    Sex is not particularly taboo in the Bible, either, though there are more uses of euphemism. At least in the Old Testament. I don't know the New Testament much at all, and I wouldn't trust anything but the original language anyway.

    It works because, to-date, every terrorist targeting Israel has been of Arab descent. I know it's considered cool to bash Israel on any number of fronts, but you would not find many non-insane Israelis advocating suicide attacks on Arabs, nor hijacking their aircraft for any purpose. There are no politically acceptable targets for Jewish terrorists.

    Not that your fundamental point is wrong, but the number only needs to be unique for that authentication server for the 10 second window that the number remains valid. In other words, numbers can be reused amongst users, but not in the same time slot.

    Apple and MS don't have all that much animosity towards each other. I suspect Silverlight will never happen for the real reason that Flash won't. Though, MS is gearing Silverlight towards mobile devices (Windows Phone 7), so it's not impossible.

    Technicalky, the US defines unemployment rates by the percentage of the population looking for work. The percentage is always a fraction of those who are out of work. What the fraction is, is up for debate, and you'll hear different answers, depending on the agenda of those providing the numbers.

    (There is also some adjustment made for those too young or too old to be expected to work.)

    I'll grant you the usable telnet client (hasn't changed much in that regard), but ipv4 has always been enabled by default on Win95. That was one of its biggest selling points over Win 3.1(1).

    I haven't hit 50 yet, but I pretty much agree. I don't see rift events having any purpose at 50. I am hoping the PvP will be fun, but if not, I won't stay long.

    In my mind, the original DAoC had the best PvP, and thus the best reason for playing at max level. The game had community, and PvP was all world PvP (until BGs were introduced to help those not at max level). PvP also had an effect on the rest of the world, so even those not participating were affected.

    I play Rift, and I've found most people to be nice. People asking for help in public channels get answered. The few times I've done dungeons with PUGs, I've had a pleasant experience. By chance, did you play on a PvP server?
