    I consider it immoral to follow copyright law, so I don't care what term is used to describe the practice of violating it.

    If something I want to have a copy of is readily available through reasonable terms from a seller, I will pay. Otherwise, I will simply take it from where I can find it.

    Abolishing the death penalty does nothing but remove justice. It shows that the victim has fewer rights than the perpetrator and that punishments are meaningless.

    Maybe it's because Linux programmers don't know what "source-level compatibility" is and he wants to be able to run Linux programs without fixing other people's code.

    To this day, no Linux GUI has proper copy+paste. That alone is a deal-breaker for me.

    There's a huge difference between using gmail as a private address and a company using it for all corporate communications.

    That's essentially the same process as in the US. You cannot ask the Supreme Court to try a law. You must instead appeal a specific case up through the system on the grounds that the law upon which the defendant was tried is actually unconstitutional.

    I just figure it's a moral issue. The only reason Copyright is mentioned in the Constitution of the United States is because without it there would have been less of a chance for the newly founded country to build its own culture. However, corporations have turned Copyright into a method for perpetual ownership. As this is not what was intended, I feel no moral obligation to support them.

    I do not go out of my way to obtain what I want for free, but I also do not feel I am doing anything wrong when I do.

    I really don't think the Queen of England would have to worry much about a US law. I imagine that even while visiting the US she has diplomatic immunity the likes of which are only depicted in the movies.

    Many towers are placed on private property and the phone/cellular company pays for that access. I imagine that they also pay the municipality that owns any public land that they use as well.
