The Emperor's New Clothes...Just tell everyone that you have a new machine that you modded with a clear case, clear components, and clear peripherals, and only smart people can see them:)
are the people who watch auctions, and message the losers at the end telling them they have the same product, and get money from them that way...you can't exactly leave negative feedback on that...
yea, they were available for about a month on dreamcast.com, and now the only place to find 'em is on ebay, they run +$200 easily every time one goes up...good luck getting one...
at least not here in St. Louis...Our local "we run anything we want, but claim to be WB" network has Enterprise debuting Saturday...they also have rights to run other "UPN" shows, like WWF Smackdown...
found a cheap pentium 90 with 100 megs of ram and a 300 meg hardrive...all I had to do was go get a $5 network card (instant rebate), and install a minimal Slackware install, took 2 hours total time...total cost : $25
I WISH I had a pII 233...these "spare" parts you speak of are better than my current machine...you should donate them to your local "poor geek" fund....=)
my friend and I were actually discussing something like this...if GPS becomes accurate enough, will the government begin to make auto manufacturers integrate these in to every vehicle, making it so they can just mail you a ticket any time you exceed the speed limit? Just a thought
yes, but film is highly succeptable to heat/fire damage...plus, if your album is one of the old ones with the temporary glue in it, your pictures already have a death warrant...
Is there really a safe archive method anymore? CDs now get eaten by fungii, disks and tape are subject to magnetic erasure, paper/hardcopies can burn, nad stone tablets/true hardcopy are breakable...
Is this really something that should be tested?

Hopefully this won't fall in to the wrong hands....muahahahahaha! *cough* excuse me...
Actually, it was just tried as an introductory level language here at the University of Missouri St. Louis, which is the top CS school in Missouri. The feedback has been good overall...
If AOL in Germany is the only branch that can be linked to this activity...hmmm...AOL==AOL/Time Warner == Warner Records == major record company going after napster. I see a double standard forming...
the success of previous hand-held game systems recently won't foreshadow this release...I myself was a strong supporter of the SNK Noe Geo Color Pocket, and it survived only a month or two in america...several other systems have had the same fate...I believe that unless it comes built in to another appliance (cell phone, PDA...etc..)...it will not get much support...
The weakest April Fool's joke I've seen here...last year's was pretty good. "Slashvertisements?"...hehe...

From the lost episode, or just those who are lost, like me, too poor for cable/sattelite :(

I've been killed by one of those...spinal graft it to a 3/5 flyer, and you got problems...
BTW, you'll need roaring penguin if you don't get static IPs...PPPOE isn't quite supported without it yet...

it's not open source, but I know that many of our über-geeks prefer pico to any other text editor, just because of the simplicity of it.

MacWorld has an article up here. It goes over the glove being used in Mac OS X, and other novel ideas...

NGPC was released with a couple of puzzle games, and, of course, Bust a Move, featuring Bubble Bobble's favorite dinosaurs...
