    found a cheap pentium 90 with 100 megs of ram and a 300 meg hardrive...all I had to do was go get a $5 network card (instant rebate), and install a minimal Slackware install, took 2 hours total time...total cost : $25

    my friend and I were actually discussing something like this...if GPS becomes accurate enough, will the government begin to make auto manufacturers integrate these in to every vehicle, making it so they can just mail you a ticket any time you exceed the speed limit?

    yes, but film is highly succeptable to heat/fire damage...plus, if your album is one of the old ones with the temporary glue in it, your pictures already have a death warrant...

    Is there really a safe archive method anymore? CDs now get eaten by fungii, disks and tape are subject to magnetic erasure, paper/hardcopies can burn, nad stone tablets/true hardcopy are breakable...

    the success of previous hand-held game systems recently won't foreshadow this release...I myself was a strong supporter of the SNK Noe Geo Color Pocket, and it survived only a month or two in america...several other systems have had the same fate...I believe that unless it comes built in to another appliance (cell phone, PDA...etc..)...it will not get much support...
