Drivers, mainly sound and video drivers, when you have to read through pages of forums, make changes manually to X Windows config files to eliminate video tearing or getting your HDMI port to output sound and video without a delay.. and once you have got it right a new update package is deployed that undoes all that manual work to fix what should be working out of the box.
If Intel, NVidia and AMD drivers were stable and bulletproof then I'd move a lot more of my machines to Linux, if it can be easy and stable in Windows or on a Mac OS level then there should be no reason that same hardware just works out of the box under Linux, especially after all these years but the frequency of issues is still far too high.
Don't get me wrong, I love Linux and I have at least 7 Debian boxes that run 24/7 in different locations - both physical and VPS cloud deployments.
Desktop is still just not cohesive enough. I can handle different look and feel between apps but driver issues are a deal breaker.
Is it called R2D2 because the normal case of secure delete the system admins say "What the bleep-bloop have you bleepy-blarp done? You stupid bloopy-blip!!" ?
The TRS-80 was the first computer I used and I still have my fathers working TRS-80 sitting boxed up, had it up and running last year with the original Radio Shack monitor - still a runner!
Agreed, They might as well sue Apple for providing a phone that facilitated communications on said social media services, the car manufacturer who built a vehicle that allowed somebody with questionable intentions from starting the vehicle and those responsible for building the roads that allowed the attacker to get to their destination without obstruction.
In most cases you'd expect hackers to hack in and break the site, in this case they probably felt obligated to fix it knowing that that would annoy far more people than taking it off-line:)
Quick!, Get the Australian Government on the phone, slow national broadband is their policy! Mr Malcolm Turnbull, We have a sale for your broadband plan.. Iran is interested in your vision!!:)
Are you suggesting that selling a popular product makes you a moral person? I'm pretty sure it just makes you successful, you could still be a murderer in your spare time.
Tobacco industry sells a popular product and they have been very successful but their success by many is deems somewhat immoral, your statement is eerily true in this case:)
In regards to your second statement regarding noise pollution, I believe AC/DC found an alternative to this issue, they formulated in the 1970's that Rock And Roll was not Noise Pollution and was sustainable indefinitely (Aint gonna die.):)
What about seperating your recyclables? There's just the one recycle bin for everything, what if the file i'm deleting isnt recycling friendly?! Can I pay extra for a desktop skip? These are questiosn raised by true OCD sufferers..
Electrical? I hope to god it doesn't take 1.21Jiggawatts (Giggawatts) of power to charge it, it'll make rising fuel costs seem like peanuts in comparison.
But seriously, there are newer, better designed and better looking cars around now - even if they modernise it, it'll probably still handle like a top heavy single hulled boat.

If you used a decent browser to begin with you wouldn't need the extra 3 hours of battery life to get your work done using Microsoft Edge...
It looks like you've been in an accident. I will call an appropriate representative of the local constabulary.
