I guess they haven't been watching Alias and 24. Don't they know how important the latest technological comunication tools are for catching the bad guy?
I think the article was pointing out that this is a possibility, not that they were doing it. The article was pointing out the potential dangers now that they can distinguish the types of traffic, and even deteriorate the quality if they want.
I thought it was obvious too, I wonder how many obvious explanations are out there.
Isn't it obvious that this is proof that God exists? It is left over evidence that all moons were put together from two parts, kind of like those gum ball machine eggs that come with toys in them.
With My Canon Rebel Digital, I can take about 500 pictures on a charge. If I do Raw format, they are between 6 and 8MB per picture. So with two batteries (I keep a spare with my camera), I could come close to filling up that card. Plus, If I am traveling, it is not much of a hassle to bring along my battery charger, but much more of a hassle to bring along my computer do unload my CF card. For people who travel and take lots of pictures, this is great news.
From a bunch of friends I get a free meal every time I help out. I also get free hair cuts from another friend who is a hair dresser. And is it considered bartering when you fix your parents after all the things they did for you growing up? Though in a lot of cases in fixing friends computers, there is a blury line between bartering and people returning the favor. Hmmmmm.
Does anyone know why linking to a NYT article from here you get to the "Need to register" page, but when you search for the article in Google news, you can get right to the article? Not that I'm complaining, because I can go through Google without having to register. Does Google have some sort of agreement?
Since email was one of the first things used on the internet, why would adding the @ symbol bring Morse Code into the 21st century? Wouldn't it just bring it later into the mid 20th century?

The oldest brewery in America. Unfortunately, I can not find in around Boston, but I get it when I am down in Pennsylvania. It is one of the better non-microbrew bears from America.
Cingular doesn't make you sign a new contract to change your plan. I found that the current plan is the same price for almost double the minutes. My contract is up with them and I am going month-to-month. I called a couple months ago to change my plan, and I didn't need a new contract. Very good for customer satisfaction. Plus now they have the rollover minutes.
I am thinking of getting a VoIP service like Vonage soon. I wonder if I will be able to take my cell phone number and transfer it over to that service.
I have been looking for a good handheld/wireless combination that I can use for SSH, and the best solution I have found so far is the Sharp Zaurus with their wireless modem. There are some good SSH apps for it. The wireless plan is expensive at $40/month, but it has unlimited minutes.
I think padme will probably get killed/murdered in episode III, and this will push anakin over the edge to the dark side... maybe:)
I don't think this will happen. An earlier poster pointed out how Darth Vader knew he had a child, but didn't know he had twins, which implies that he was there for the conception (obviously), but left on his road to becoming Darth Vader before they were born, so he would not be there for her death, since that would have to happen after the twins were born.
Yeah, I have probably put way too much thought into this.:)
After reading this article, I went out looking for the official announcement that DoCoMo was planning on moving into the American and European market. I couldn't find it. I didn't even see anything on the DoCoMo website. Has anyone seen it, and can you tell me where to get it?

Um, that's 10 types of people, not 11 types of people. :)

Slashdot needs to create it's own caching server, so that sites won't go down 10 minutes after the story goes up.

I'm in the Boston area, and my port 80 isn't being blocked yet. That would stink because I am hosting some small websites for friends of mine.
