The last time Microsoft worked got get interoperability with Novell products was in reality just so that people could easier upgrade from netware to windows nt.:D
In February 2003 Members of Parliament at the British House of Commons found that a new spam filter was blocking e-mails containing references to the Sexual Offences Bill then under debate, as well as some messages relating to a discussion about censorship. [11]
I used a often posted line here on Slashdot as the "motto" in live account, since it really is my motto. They must have added this limitation later on.
But what does it help? Can't you just go around it like fx. instead of writing "running linux", write "running on penguin power".
my last ISP all of the sudden could not deliver services to me anymore although I am only 150 meters from heir PoP. The excuse was that I was "too close". So now I got a new one, for now. That said I don't think I had been over 60GB pr month at that time.
I do use a lot of bandwith(having always bought the fastest line) a lot of TV and movie streaming over the net, internet radios too. But the xbox is the biggest consumer of bandwidth, since the bigger hard drive is not available here yet. With only 14 gigs available I download many demos / tailers etc multiple times. And when they start delivering any real content like in the US, I will be using that too.
But the major problem, at least when I used Windows, was that XP just connected to any access point it could find, so I found myself having used other access points many times for god knows how long until I told it not to. Which worked until a new access point popped up. I am a bit fuzzy on the details since I haven't run windows in a while.
At least the older Solaris for Intel did not support different IBM options such as the ServeRaid controller, so you had to install something else like a Adaptec or something. I have not tried Solaris 10 on IBM hardware, but 8(or 9, have forgot which one) was annoying and really only for die hard Solaris fans.

I will also have to disagree, perhaps it's because we have too many lousy theaters in Copenhagen. But I paid 15$ to see Transformers on opening week, only to see it on one of the smaller screens in that theater with grainy sound, terrible air quality (both hot and humid). Then you add the price of the soda and popcorn which costs the same as the movie. Then there is the ticket to the cab/public transportation/parking or whatever. so I end up usiing 30-40$ to see a movie and it is not really worth it. I'd rather see it on a dvd my 'small' 37" LCD TV without surround sound. THX certifications etc. seems to be worthless, since they seemed to have it but I figure it must have been a joke.
But you know, electrical engineers will appreciate the difficulty of nubbing together a regurgitative purwell and a superaminative wennel-sprocket. Indeed, this proved to be a stumbling block to further development until, in 1943, it was found that the use of anhydrous nagling pins enabled a kyptonastic boiling shim to be tankered.
Yes and it only took them 10 years(or whatever), promises never delivered in multiple interations of their OS, and a public pumping money into them regardless of any of this.
"I was shocked" Perhaps you were and cue the trolls and me.
I got my first Mac 3 months ago( a macbook pro) and I am not going back to Windows, perhaps Linux(have replaced my windows desktop with ubuntu at work log time ago) But of course this is/. so I am not the average user.
Microsoft must be happy with the huge userbase that happily has bought their products for years until the day they could finally get what they were promised. Of course I am now trolling here, I have not tried Vista so I don't know anything about how good it is, but the story seems to be repeating itself for every OS release.
An alarming rate must be running over the internet as different internet outtages though time, brought a lot of them down.
In the "good old days", we would not even rely on internet to transport WANs but these days everything gets connected to the internet and everyone expects 100% uptime from something they can't control.
zzzz anal retentive zzzzz
Ah, the comments here are a good example of why I prefer /. to digg. :D

That one is pure gold.

No it is so the next and more expensive audio media can sound better than the cd and justify the higher price.

Let me end it.
You sir, are worse than Hitler!
1) Don't use Second Life. It is embarrassing and no one in the real world cares besides the news media and misc. company bosses.
(it is kinda like the "news media" just discovered that you can make a virtual world online)
and the new Turboencabulator.

I would vote for this one.
Yet another place. cool :) thanks!
Cool, by looking at the search result, combined with another answer I got, I think it must actually be Jupiter. So it's a planet. :)
Thanks.
Excellent, there's a Mac version too, I'll check it out. thanks.
