I know this is offtopic but hoping for some answer. How can I figure out which star I am looking at. If I am herelooking South(a bit east) and can see a very bright star in the early evening way before all the others?
Are there a online version of a starmap where you can type in your location, date and the direction or something?
buhu! So they can afford one ivory backscratcher less. God forbid they should actually have to work for their money. I want to be stinking rich and complaing about being ripped off too.
me 2, that is before the battery software upgrade. Now it says 2.5, even after I tried calibration. (I haven't measured what it actually is). It's a month old battery, so it should be fine.
For all his success at bringing Microsoft's warring constituencies together, there are still things beyond Bill and Steve's control. "I was in a hotel in Sun Valley last week that was not wired," Ballmer recalls. "So I turned on my PC, and XP tells me there is a wireless network available. So I connect to something called Mountaineer.
"Well, I don't know what that is. But I VPN into Microsoft. It worked! I don't know whose broadband I used," he chuckles. "I didn't see it in Bill's room. I called him up and said, 'Hey, come over to my room.' So soon everyone is there and connecting to the Internet through my room."
I "like" the editor's note in the end. CHICKEN!! Come on, if it had been a review of some Linux distribution or what ever, no one would have been so forgiving. Vista isn't free, you pay a good deal of money for it. We have this big company that the suits on the golf course trusts to no end and so "we" are ready to accept these things? It is not a beta product or even a release candidate, it is the product on the shelves that they expect that you pay a lot of money for. If I have hardware that has worked running XP, Ubuntu etc, I expect it to run with Vista. I can forgive Ubuntu for not working on my pc(but it did) Ok, I must admit that I am not a die hard fan.:) I realize that they have tons of hardware to deal with compared to fx. Apple. I have been running SUSE and Ubuntu on my pc for some time and I have just bought a Macbook pro(my first mac, which isn't perfect either, I hate the Dock). I seem to have problems finding the right OS for me.:) After I decided that I would have to do without most games on my pc, I could throw XP out the window. Some of the few old games I play for nostalgia, runs under Ubuntu so it's not quitting cold turkey, but 15 years with Microsoft products takes a bit of time to forget.:D

I was just thinking it over and my experience is that Linux servers tends to live longer before the application running on the server gets migrated to a newer system. But you have to plan ahead and buy a server that can run the application even if the usage raises, new features gets added and the amount of data raises, but that is a matter of planning.
Another issue is that you need to calculate what your hardware support contracts will cost you if you plan to have those. After 3 years they tend to get more expensive and even more so after 5 years. Then you might want to migrate it to another server instead. It would also be interesting to take virtualization into the equation, more servers on the same iron, easier migration, but if you run VMware, you need to upgrade all the servers you plan to do vmotion between, at one time because it does not like different hardware or CPU steppings.
Damn, seems like their site are down for the moment, and not just the Swedish one(they have banks in more than one country). I guess they are all hosted the same place. I wanted to log in to my account.
The security for their online banking system includes a key file that you must have on your PC so a trojan could be used to gain access if it got found the key file. I am not aware if they have additional optional security options available, like a key card or whatever.
BTW the client side runs Java and works nicely in Firefox on Linux.
Thanks, we have a pair of binoculars, I'll see if they are any good. :)

lol, 24mpg , that's horrible. But then again I pay what would be 6,5-7,5$ pr gallon.

It's on when it's off. hmm.
There's a light in the power connector too though. but not even a HD light, I could use that.
I have done that too :)

yeah, adblock adds 20 minutes of battery life by removing flash and other things. :)
Many arcade games also had (multiple) Z80's in them. ( http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=516 ).
Let's hope that the RIAA does not hear about this or they will require the sun to be DRM'ed by Sony's fantastic systems.

Someone is about to get a friendly visit from Microsoft to set them straight.
"Endut. Hoch Hech!" should be the next name.
Do they pay Microsoft when you buy a CIFS license for a filer?
Step right in for a free personality test. :-r
My 2 LCD TVs don't do HDCP although they have HDMI. But I don't care. I dont buy many DVDs anyway. And going down their DRM hell is not worth it IMHO.

Go to youtube and read the comments there for a couple of minutes and Slashdot will be pure heaven again.
