  1. Re:No they wont' charge for AIM on AOL To Charge for AIM Videoconferences · · Score: 1

Here in Denmark, at the big cinemas, they want you to pick up the tickets at least 45min before the movie starts, then we have 30 of ads. before the movie. This makes the time I need to spend unacceptable. So I rarely go watch a movie.
When I do watch a movie, I pick up the tickets in advance, the day before on my way home. and then arrive 20 minutes late since we have fixed seats on the tickets.

  4. No thanks, how badly do you need it? on Don't Smudge The Sensor When You Press 'Play' · · Score: 1

Is it worth it for me?
At a certain time, one just have to ask it, how badly do you want it?.
When I passed those teenage years, music became less important to me, I still enjoy it. But when you have past those hormone racing days, I'd just say thanks, but no thanks.
No doubt the attitude towards obtaining music or how to treat it, is a problems.(Music? that's something you download, for free, on the internet). But they(the music industry) have had years now to tackle this. And all they have done is, are making enemys of those who love it most, by rejecting the technology these people have grown up with. But that is besides the point.
These days, I'd rather do without it(the music) rather than have to deal with annoying protection schemes.
Like the copy protection on DVD's that allows me to play it on my monitor, but refuses to play it when a TV is connected to my NVIDIA card's S-VHS output. I did have a laserdisc in the old days, but I don't watch many movies these days so I figured that my PC would do for a DVD player, but no.

Of course if their sales fail on this new media, they will just blame pirates, instead of a bad product, like a normal business would. Crybabies, I have no sympathy at all.

But besides from that, it seems that a lot of those places are just a wild guess, and it have to be. I mean, even the creators have often forgotten to place the music shop close to Moe's.
And then there are the relocations that are done just for fun. like placing the power plants parking next to the Simpsons house.

  11. Who cares about fuel economy? on Flying Car More Economical Than SUV · · Score: 2, Informative

I do(or rather, I would if a shortage of money was an issue), because due to local taxes created by enviromental nuts in the goverment, I pay over twice as much as people in the US for my fuel.
But if the prices were on the same level, I wouldn't give a xxxx.
But then again, I might. Because then I would buy a much larger and less economic car than I would need which would use twice the amount of fuel and I would be in the same situation again. :D

btw, the same enviromental nuts had put a 200% tax on cars so I bought a car from 1987 for 2500$.
I do plan ,however, that my next car should be one that can run on unleaded fuel and have a catalysator. Maybe even have a few safty features such as airbags etc.
But I'd be dammed if I want to spend 30000$ just to buy a 90hp compact(3 door hatchback type).

So where am I going with all this? Well raising price on a item, gas, heating, electricity will make people try to save it, but at a certain level it just backfires. High prices on heating are another example. Small suburbs has shown to have the same low quality of air as the smog plaqued big city, due to the homeowners installing a wood furnace to save money on heating. The problem is that what they are buring in them and the way they are doing it are causing a lot of bad particles to be released.
