If so, there should be some moneyback for each song people downloaded from me that I could use in the system. But then again, I could have it all backwards.

  5. Let's cross our fingers. on Beta Sign-Ups for WarCraft III · · Score: 2, Insightful

As much as I loved playing Warcraft I/II, I fear that they really have to got some new great ideas. When these types of games were introduced to the public, the game concept was new and fresh and with the help of coax ethernet it gave a new dimension to the PC games market. But now we have seen so many games since, most of them "updated" version with better graphics. So one hopes that they have managed twist the gameplay just enough to have us oldtimers excited again(it seems to require more that just fancy attributes these days). If they fail at that, there's always a new crowd that haven't the pleasure of the old games and are ready for this.

  6. Linefill? on Satellite Command Security? · · Score: 1

Another used method is filling up the connection with "noise" so that the line never is idle. I don't know if it is a good idea in sat. communication. besides from encryption, it always makes it harder for those snooping if the line never idles. So you can't tell from the traffic if there is any actual communication or not.

But I have done my work in the IT-support dept. and I think that many would agree that this system would be a lot better in many cases.
I have seen to many times people doing all the "don't do's" like writing down the password and putting it on the desk, keyboard, monitor. and forcing them to change the password once in a while makes it even worse, like they use a name followed by a number and then they just increment the number when the have to change the password.
The lack of a single signon often amplifies this problem.

  11. Wife,,,, helps? on Christmas is Coming · · Score: 1

What does your wife do to help? Marla offers advice after everything is up and going. "Chuck, that tree over there needs some more lights."

Now there's a sentence I'd would not expect to hear. I'd say "There is way to many lights", "I have no idea", "This is ruining the design of our house" or maybe just some head shaking would be a more likely response.
But I guess it would never have gotten so huge whithout Marla's approval.
