White wine vinegar is a nice natural cleaner, and it's cheap.
OT, but you may be referring to distilled vinegar (commonly known as "White" vinegar). White wine vinegar may clean well, but it certainly isn't cheap compared to distilled.
If you're using windows, I'd suggest using Weather Corner Alert. It's unobtrusive and accesses METAR data from NOAA. Why would you want something that accesses a commercial (though free) source if the whole purpose of this story was to gain more free access to public data?
In my experience (at least from Olympic National Park in Washington), water from glaciers is not very clear because of the minerals trapped in the ice. It is one of the ways to tell if a creek in the park is spring-fed (clear water) or glacier-fed (cloudy). In fact, the park service warns against using mechanical water filters with glacier-fed streams as the minerals will clog up the mechanism in short order.
Your idea reminds me of the proletariat (the east and non-industrialized nations) hating the bourgeois (america) for having so much money; and the upper class (europe) hating the bourgeois for spending said money on lawn ornaments.
but there are situations when you absolutely need to get on the Internet for some reason (usually job)
I would tend to think that if your job is that important, you wouldn't rely on only one type of network connection. Having a single point of failure is just asking for trouble.
Hell, next time I need a desk, I think I'll buy a sheet of MDF and stick a leg on each corner.
Even better is to pick up a slightly damaged door from your local Home Depot for a few bucks and place over two file cabinets. Cheap, large desk and drawers as well! I did it for 4 years in college, and I was never needing extra desk space (just put the damaged side down).
if typing 'sudo nvram boot-command', you end up with something like "boot-command mac-boot", then you should use the command 'sudo nvram boot-args="-v"'
If you see "boot-command 0 bootr", then 'sudo nvram boot-command=0 bootr -v"' should work for you.
fwiw, a licensed occupational therapist would be a better option for workspace setup and body mechanics in this instance.

Nye was the jerk. He was a "guest judge" at my university's engineering open house my senior year. Total ass.
If you live in the US, just put your hard-earned tax dollars to work and head to The National Weather Service for your forecasts.

And as a bonus since most pizza chains don't have their own rocket program it'll take more than 30 minutes to deliver it, so the food is free!
Unless of course, that chain is Pizza Hut
