So, you are against hydrocarbons in general, and that leads you to a rant against oxidizers? Are there any chemical compounds you endorse, or does exposure to anything at all require a quick trip to the chiropractist?
Unless we are planning to globalize all existing laws - which is going to make switzerland and bermuda look significantly less attractive to big business as places to be (nominally) headquartered.
It is illegal for an american company to pay bribes to government officials in any country. Is this an example of creeping globalism, too? Can US companies engage in slave trade, as long as they don't take any slaves into USA?
Being diagnosed with a "learning disability" means in some cases you get extra privileges/help with classes/tests. Some schools only allow audio recording of lectures by students with a documented learning disorder. Large-print tests, extra time, someone reading the test to you, etc.
As someone with ADD, I think many of those privileges are bullshit. But then again I have always done well on standardized tests.
While I'll be the first to admit that ADD/ADHD is overdiagnosed, I'm going to have to go with "Fuck you, asshole. You should not get your medical knowledge from talk-radio hosts. Anyone who says ADHD isn't real doesn't have a clue."
The statistics for my city show that in the first year, serious accidents drop significantly, but minor accidents increase slightly, (minor accidents make up the bulk of reported accidents), so the total number of collisions reported increases slightly. The second year, major collisions continue to drop, and minor collisions begin to drop below pre-camera levels. Local news only reports the "total number of collisions increase" version of the story after the first year, and only does opinion polls with no statistics after the second.
Really? In my city, there was a slight increase in total crashes in the first year (but a significant decrease in serious collisions - the kind with expensive damage, injury, and/or death). The second year, major crashes continued to drop, and minor crashes were back below pre-camera levels. The local media only reported on the "increase in total crashes" the first year (despite being given a clear explanation about the significant drop in serious crashes), and made no mention of the data after the second year.
So now we can protest, but only through speech and not through action?
GP is referring to the Bill Of Rights. What does it say?
I would suggest that peacable assembly included in the list of things the government can't outlaw means that some actions are protected with speech.
Is BART a private entity, or an extension of the government?
How is that relevant?
Some are suggesting that BART can restrict anything, because it is a private entity, and that BART stations are private property - and I am making the point that BART is acting as an extension of the government, so for BART to be restricting free speech and peacable assembly IS the government doing the same.
Why would you call 911? Especially since everything was OK? It's more rhetorical since this is an AC but this is sometimes why the lines get tied up in an emergency, clueless people jamming the emergency lines for no reason.
And not just to call 911. It is not uncommon in the afternoon before expected hurricane landfall for cell phones to not be able to place calls, as so many people are tying up the lines calling everybody they can think of, just to chat about eachother's hurricane preps. Everybody so quick to jump online and check the news sites, change their status, etc. from their mobile device, I'm surprised any calls to 911 even get through.
Monday morning. 8am. Office workers all along the east coast attempt to boot up their computers within a 2 minute period, flooding the servers.
Every time your system boots up, it has the latest configuration updates, patches, and software versions installed. Even those incompatible with your particular system.
For National Security/think-of-the-children reasons, government-suggested software is added on a regular basis, usually untested, and without your explicit consent
Every boot up is considered agreement to most recent version of EULA for most recent version of software, neither of which you can actually view until the computer is running.
Seriously, I can't see any upsides to booting from the cloud that are practical benefits to me.
If it is even a fair possibility that he was carrying legally, that isn't probable cause. See the analogy of pulling over anyone caught driving, in case they don't have a license to drive.
Was that imaging the molecule, or the electron orbitals? There is a difference.

So far, I haven't documented any problems from this.

How many of those bad ideas did he publish? It seems to me that the discretion to know when an idea isn't fully developed is an important ingredient.

Good luck doing that. Most law books are already copyrighted. Your documentation would cost you everything.
Nobody learns anything on a Friday, anyway.
Or he really likes them, and wants to bring them to Heaven?
The penalty for Apple trying to enforce this bullshit "design patent" is that Apple should lose ALL patents related to the iPad.
I've heard from Vietnam vets that some claymores issued to US Marines also had the warning "do not eat."

How many of those words evolved when "the facilities" involved an outhouse, or a bucket to be emptied into the street?
Somebody hurry with the mod points, this one deserves them!
Are you trying to tempt fate, to become the first confirmed case of cell-phone interference causing problems on landing?
and proceeded to not have cell service
I like this grammatical construction, and will probably steal it.
The obligatory XKCD has already been linked.

Your hypothetical ranting is not as convincing as real world experience and knowledge of actual laws. Good luck, though.

For all Dick's worry about his thoughts not being his own, etc., you'd think that wasn't the case.
