So do get 4 times the amount of bandwith could i just buy 3 of these routers, plug two cable modems into one and 2 dsl lines into the other and then have those two routers plug into another router?
If it is 7-10,000 light years away wouldnt that mean that if it went off then it would take at least that many years to get here? If thats the case then im not worried
Now if only they can add on a nuclear powered engine that way i wont have to carry around 283726 batteries so i can use it for a day straight without running out juice.
I dont know but with the price of blank DVD media right now it would probably be cheaper to just go buy the dvd at the store than to bother burning your own copy.
My teacher got so obsessed about people cheating that she actually made us take out our backup batteries too. I just soldered in a small capacitor that would store the memory for about 30 seconds and I was fine. It sucked for everyone else. I even knew one kid who went so far as bought another calculator so that once the teacher turned around he would just switch them and then he had all his programs. Also clearing the memory didnt really help necessarily because most of us had TI-89's for calculus where doing derivatives and integrals were built in functions.
This has already been done out in CA i believe. They drilled a small hole in the road every so many feet and dropped a short magnetic rod (a few inches long) into each one. That way the computer could easily stay on track in the road. This sounds like one of the best ways to transform the road too because it wouldnt be very expensive comparing what other methods could be used.
If this keyboard does work well it could really open up some interesting ideas for first person shooters. It would be alot easier for much higher precision in aiming and would probably be easier to move around
It wasnt any one persons bandwith in the first place. It was a computer lab not personal computers and if the user didnt know the program was running then maybe they should gain some intelligence before they try to use a computer.
This argument does not hold up because a valet could of crashed the car. Where as if anything had actually happened to the computers he would have been able to fix them immediately - hence costing nothing.
Lets be glad Microsoft isnt making this or else we would end up with clippy being able to anoy us everywhere we go! ahhh!
Well then why not use a DVD-R or RW or chop use ACE to split it into sections and put it on floppies.
a beowulf cluster of em....
So I guess the Magic Server Pixiedust is a reality - guess IBM will be loosing out!
Just as long as no one in the audience is sitting there with a laptop and a Pringles can.
I can just see it now "Scotty we need more power to the shields!!!"

Paypal seems like it is a step in the right direction especially for online auctions but for now but it doesnt seem like it is quite there yet.
