I've got a vintage 1987 Tandon 1.2MB floppy drive (half-height). Came with my old Tandon PCA AT clone. I kept it around because then I could maintain the fiction to my wife that I was still "upgrading" the old computer.
I have some ancient power cables too, but I have no idea how old they are, or where they've come from.
I also have a first generation CD deck (around 1985 or so) in my stereo system.
When you RMA for a warranty replacement, make sure you demand a new build, otherwise you get a refurb.
I had a Maxtor 40 die on me. I RMA'ed it, and the replacement died in a month. When I RMA'ed the replacement, I complained about that, and the Maxtor guy asked me if I wanted a new build instead of a refurb. I told him "Hell yes".
AFAIK, Meir Kahane's been on the State Deptartement's list...
Just a minor point... you mean the LATE Meir Kahane.
For those who don't know who Kahane is, he founded the JDL (think Irv Rubin -- the guy who hanged himself in prison). While I believe that Jews have the right to defend themselves, Kahane was nothing but a thug.
Why? Because I'm sick of all the places with no service.
I live in the West SF Valley, and except for the area immediately around my house, there's no signal... (For LA residents, the no signal area appears to be between Woodlake and Shoup (E-W boundary) and Ventura and Vanowen (N-S boundary).
Oddly, this only started in the last month or so.
And it's not just locally, too. Seems like everywhere I go, people are chatting on phones, and I get no signal, or signal level of 1. It's ridiculous.
If my wife and I can keep our numbers when we change providers, I'm gone.
I keep it on so my wife and kids can contact me. I take it with me so my wife and kids can contact me.
Nobody but my family has this number.
Why should I have to inconvenience my family so some fuckwit telemarker can call me (and spend MY money -- I pay for incoming minutes)?
Yeah, I have my Dad's old K&E log log duplex. I sometimes drag it out for fun. The (glass) index is cracked on one side but it's still a beaut!
Hah! I actually have a copy of Windows 1.03 (came on 5 360K floppies, counting Windows Write).

Wasn't that Al Gore on SNL?

Yep. NTFSDOS copies a few DLLs off of your hard drive and uses them to access NTFS.
See MDK 9.1. Not only do they have a "friendlier" bootscreen, it's themeable!
I want ESR's adventure game kernel configuration program!
Well at least he isn't a mendicant!
"Elected Dead Senators" would be a good name for a rock band.
Don't know about that, but my wife has the identical problem, and so does my daughter.
Hardware data points: Nokia 5160(x2) and Nokia 3360.
Not necessarily. Different providers use different access methods.
IIRC, Cingular & T-Mobile are GSM, AT&T is TDMA, and Sprint & Verizon use CDMA.
So the phone radio electronics are different.
DISCLAIMER: My data may be off...

Seems to me this guy can file suit against the US.gov to have the DMCA ruled unconstitutional. He certainly seems to have standing...
What do you mean? "Rediculous" is a perfectly cromulent word!
I never said it would. I was asking the OP why taking the profit out of spamming would be unfortunate.
Unfortunately, I think legislation and lawsuits will end up taking the profit out of spamming
And why would this be an unfortunate result?
You miss the point of the parent. The word "customer" wasn't a typo, they really meant a SINGLE CUSTOMER, at which point it becomes funny.
Everyone knows that.

Good Evening. Tonight on the Money Programme, we're going to talk about money, and lots of it!
Remember, IE picks up a ton of users via AOL. AOL uses the IE rendering engine.
That's an urban legend, dude.
No, VS actually went through all the numbers (well, I don't know about 3)...
