Mars and moon are already in a state that is probably much worse for life than what humans can cause to earth.
The environment there already is post-apocalyptic for species that need the conditions found on earth. So why go there?
Why even start an effort to do this? This would cost an huge amount of ressources and thus would probably result in more damage to the eco-systems on earth.
It's much more rational to change our behaviour on this planet.
I had great success with athcool (http://members.jcom.home.ne.jp/jacobi/linux/softw ares.html, but it is also included in many distributions) on my Athlon 1800 XP+ desktop system. The temperature of my processor did go down from 65C to 45C which also indicates a great amount of saved power.
So if you use an Athlon or Duron system I suggest to give this tool a try.
Really, the only way you are going to stop this problem is by switching off everything at the wall.
No, you can also use remotely controllable power sockets. This way you can completely turn off your devices via a remote control. I have plugged all my home media devices to one of these and thus can turn them completely off very conveniently.
These power sockets are already pretty popular here in Germany.
The Sun Java Desktop System has as much to do with Java as every average Linux distribution.
The term "Java" in the name of this product is just marketing. The Java Desktop System consists of normal Linux applications and is not written in Java!
I too cant believe they used KHTML. I think they use Gecko. They hired David Hyatt a few months ago. David Hyatt was working at Netscape before and was one of their best developers. He actually had the most bugs assigned in Bugzilla.
I just wanted to note, that "Hannibal" is in fact the third appearance of Dr. Lektor. The first movie is "Manhunter" (1986). "Silence" is the second part and "Hannibal" the third.
Homeopathy is not about herbs... you do not seem to know what Homeopathy really is.
This youtube video is a nice introduction what homeopathy is all about:

I don't know where you can buy them in the US.

This bug was fixed a few days ago and doesn't affect sarge anymore. See this entry in Debian's bug database.
There is one very important reason: Security Updates. There is no reliable security support for testing and unstable.
Both testing and unstable have no official support from the Debian security team.
So if you're going to run anything where security matters your only choice is stable.

Apt also exists for RPM (http://apt4rpm.sourceforge.net/). When you install it package handling with RadHat or SuSE is as convenient as with Debian.
Netscape is history. They mass-fired todoy most of the staff including Gecko developers.

Mozilla was changed recently to wait just 250ms before it starts to render a page. So the next release will feel a little bit faster because of this.
