True, but if most of thier audience can't use the files without converting them, than its kind of a waste, eh?
Now, its Phish, so I'd be a lot more of their audince can figure it out than the average artistis, but its still about making thier audince happy. How if they had both, that'd be a winner.
(caveat: I hate Phish, so I'm neither listening to their FLAC or mp3 files, so I have no idea if they're still releasing in both.)
But there just as many IT departments that don't have time to develop or debug thier own apps. We want it to work, or to be able to bitch out somebody til they get it to work as advertized. Its a world of difference mucking through config files to make something work versus mucking through source code to hope to make something work.
It's not fair to call it shamefull. PLenty of people around here don't consder it a crime for apple to not add features to the old ipods, perhapse the news thinks its just whining as well?
Playis on the fly isn't nearly as cool as you'd think it would be. I hadone of the old ones, sold it to a freind when the new ones came out. I've used th eonly the fly feature maybe twice. It clears itself when you plug your pod in, and it can't be used to manage existing playlists.
That said, there's nothing wrong with you old pod. It still works beautifully. It's not lik they're adding new stuff to the new pods, its just the new pods have some features the old ones don't. I don't really see this as all the different from Apple upgrading their regular hardware. Sure, the newer towers have stuff my old one doesn't, but it doesn't make my old one worth less good, it jsut makes the new ones better..
You know what would be an awesome way for the to work together? They should give each other thier source code! Then they'd all always be working on the same page, right?
Depends what you're goal would be. In an economic-industrial world, there's more to be gained by disrupting an enmy's economic status then to his image. Its more of a target in an actual war, than ffor a terroist strike though.
Fraid not. umask only applies to the unix style apps that run under OS X. Anything in Classic, Carbon, or Cocoa totally ignores it.

Just for the record, PowerComputing and UMAX boxes were not better. Huge quality issues. Over the 3 years we had them 2 out of every 3 of our 80 or so PowerComputing boxes had its ethernet die, as well as quite an assortment of video issues, and fan, hard drives, and disk drives die. Compared to Apples that we expect to be stable for 5 years, the clones were not such a good investment.
This is kind of the same issue of why BSa has no problems pissing off software pirates (yes, we all hate that name). If you're not going to buy their product, you're not their customer!

No, by saying they "produce most of their products for the Macintosh," he meant that Macromedia produces a version of most of their products for the Macintosh.
No no, I mean, most people don't want to download a seperate player that plays jsut one or two bands stuff.

To be fari, he did add in a digital sound system and a second 23 inch apple monitor.
Actually, yeah. If its like the inside of the now old dual mirror model, it's internal cheese grater finish will do a number on your hands.
Does it matter? It was consent by the owner of the I.P.
Exactally. I jsut don't see why everyone always tried to make it out like Apple did something wrong.
Gah! They liscensed it originally, which implies consent, as well as money.
They're bringing back labels! Horay!

What did they expect? It's like starting a company called 'Appel' to sell a photo editing prodocut called 'ifoto'.

To be fari "daddy get me a cush position so I don't have to go to war" is still better than being a draft dodger. Degrees of grey though.

Sure it is. Where ya been?
I did my share of chem back in college, but I don't rememeber any 'teratogenic' warnings. Sounds fearsome.
Just got a mental picture of Big Blue with a big leapord-print hat laying down some pimp hand.
Or get them to high extra emplyee's contractors.
Thats only if they consider one thier "high end model" instead of having a trade off between "fast as snot" and "big ass screen"
Thats a little different. This would be them sending you a check, or charging your visa for less.
