I agree, I'm splitting hairs, but our legal system is supposed to be precise. Sign language should definatly be protected, and by Judical review, it is, but its not actually protected by the Bill of Rights, its protected by the Supreme Court's Rulings. And since our laws are interpreted where they aren't spelled out, at some point the Supreme Court could decided that sign langauge isn't speech, by spliting hairs, and restrict it somehow.

I wouldn't exactally consider sign language "speaking." Its certainly a form of communication, but its not "speech." I'm not say it shouldn't be protected, like the wacko above is saying; its just not speech in the same way writing to you now isn't.

Do-able, but you need the tools and skill to do it.

I personally think the transparency of the dock is worth the time ( I like being able to see my background pictures at full size, esp. since they now change every 30 second with 10.2) The bouncing does seem to be a bit of a waste, but it does let you know whether a program is actualy loading or just sitting there. (Yeah, I know, weak reason). And I'm pretty sure you can even turn it off. Don't know if that'll save you any resources, if its already loaded the routines into memory or not.

I don't actually NEED sound, or the ability to run games, or a window manager. I don't need spring loaded folders, but they make working with the computer a little nicer and a little easier. The who reason behind the square boxes is the motherboards. Motherboards are big rectangles, and as such cases are made to go around them. Do what you want, but nobody's going to cut apart their mother baord to get it to fit into a smaller shape, and so everything case design is still going to have to have a big flat side to it for the board. Here's where Apple's got its nice touch, since it designs the boards AND the cases, it can make em in funk shapes to fit whatever design they want. If a pc maked did it, they get bashed to hell for have a proprietary design, and nobody would buy thier stuff. Maybe when mother boards start being flexable, something will change, but for now, you get a new iMac, or you get a box.
