This doesnt always make the person who has a different point of view from you deserving of a brow beating or name calling. The last in person discussion I had with someone on this topic, I said that I would like to see a graph of the recent warming trend on Mars, and how it correlates to any potential cyclic temperature changes on Earth ( as this could be interesting and offer good evidence toward a possible cause) , and the response was that the polar bears are all dieing!! I was turned into a polar bear hating right wing apologist who cant think and I believe everything that Fox news tells me (i dont watch Fox btw). I wasnt even taking a stance on the topic, just speaking on things that I think could help more people achieve consensus... apparently that isnt even allowed, as it is too close to questioning for some people.

We can still debate if gender equality has been reached, so how can we decide that the proper way to act in a world that has gender equality has been established? Many young men may be afraid of nonsense news stories of elementary kids getting suspended for sexual harrasment while playing tag... this seems severe, and people that believe that this is a normal reprecussion may withdraw and seek out other distractions. I can say that growing up there were plenty of things that could be considered disrespectful, and plenty of things that could be boys being boys. If these things should remain or be eliminated is another topic for debate.

this sounds like all the artists and painters that I know. They work more than 8 hours a day, every day, and hope to sell their creations. They have to very actively market themselves, and take up side jobs. Over time, the talented ones (at selling as well as producing) are building reputations and creating more valuable markets for themselves, but the work from several years ago that was sold at low costs is gone. It sure would be nice to find a way for residuals on everything that everybody does, but that just doesnt work out. Lowery's argument on how the sound engineer gets paid will be transferred to the artist and writer soon enough. The product will be purchased at a cost by a reseller, and payment will be complete at the time of transfer. The correct value to the artist may not be true in this case ( debatable), but it is more in line with the labors of the rest of the world.
screw the semantics, if you go up really high to get a view that few people have, but have no room to turn and actually take in the view, it would suck if the capsule was facing the wrong way.

isnt this part of the law being a civil law ? Crossing over into criminal law is when the government uses their agents to investigate. I did think that the push for the recent online protection acts were an effort to criminalize these civil laws to put the process in the hands of government police.
I dont like the smell of the way they went about gathering information for a police investigation, but if this was a matter of gathering information to sue someone, then this sort of private investigation is probably fairly normal. The pressure on a programmer just goes way too far beyond weird to me.

My wife as a highschool teacher is amazed that none of her students are actively using FB any more. The service is only valuable as long as everyone is on it. I check in on FB because many of my friends are there. If they werent, I would never log in. There are demographics that are already at that point, just give it a few years until they become obvious, and one of them, while in college, is going to come up with a better way of allowing all of them to have their personalities sold and will make bazillions of dollars off of it too.
many people that have the stock did not pay todays price for it. If they have permission to sell ( not employees) then they sure can put it for sale at lower than IPO if they want to sell and dont have any buyers.
no mistakes are needed, and my guess would be that the decline has already begun. The new users are adults. The market is saturated and completely matured. Kids dont want to go to use the thing that their parents are using. Email has fallen off as a useful way of constant contact to all of the social networking, texting, and tweeting and Tumblr-ing ( im too old to know wtf that thing is good for) , and facebook is going to be marginalized in the same way. Where will the new accounts come from ? As kids get devices and get connected, they will not be using facebook for the current purpose that it provides. It may end up being a login credential holder for many sites, but without constant use and updates of its users profiles an statuses. That is quite a simple service to provide for such a huge company.
