actually, there have been three people who tried to sneak bombs on with malicious intent, who were all successful and stopped by actions of people on the plane. There have been many other successful attempts by people testing the system and the workers who have also been successful. To be fair, those tests do not have complete disclosure, and most likely the only ones to get any publicity are the ones that failed to get caught. We also cant know if there have been any attempts that have been thwarted on the ground, but for the level of inconvenience, I dont really accept anything less than 100%.

I am not correcting someone speaking in the vernacular. This is a letter to a governor. Take a second to make it look like you took some time thinking about what you want to say, and care about its presentation.

or just take a second or two to reconstruct the whole thing .... Now, there are times that I want to be number one, but I believe Michigan wants to be at the top of this list.

The completed prepositional phrase make a little bit of sense, and I spent almost no time re-phrasing this. Ending the sentence with the word "of" just looks and sounds bad. I can forgive a lot of these issues, and maybe this should be relaxed, but when you are the head of a large budget, writing a public letter to a Governor of a state discussing allocation of money, taking the time to edit your thoughts is probably a good idea and may even help the success of your campaign.

Now, I like to be at the top of lists, but this is one ranking that I don’t believe Michigan wants to be on top of.

At least the commas decided to show up this time, but the preposition at the end... ugh

Aside from the horrible presentation of the argument, I really like the point that is being made.

this actually is true. I worked at an agency in NY that sent out a little flash based " christmas card" to its clients every year . One year, it was going to have the tree at Rockefeller and the skating rink in the background. As this was for a commercial purpose, we actually would have to clear copyrights and trademarks to use the image. The issue wasnt who owned or took the picture, the issue was actually the content. The image was replaced instead of paying for the rights to use that image.

There is also an issue of many people not wanting to have everything addressable. This isnt because they are lazy, it is because they want it that way. I manage hundreds of servers, and maybe ten or tens that are exposed to the world. I know this can be blocked, but it is a lot easier to have my private little world which just doesnt work outside of its sandbox, and then set up NATs to the rest of the world to the specific machines that need to be exposed. This is the easiest explicit deny unless implicitly allowed rule ever.

I would like to have my personal devices addressable, but from a work perspective, i like those servers hidden. For this conversation, that means the people with the content are going to keep the content on IPv4 on purpose, and without the content available on IPv6, then the ISPs will have no need to support the change. government mandate and a sea change within the DC are both required.

The US citizen who pays tax is paying quite a bit in taxes, they just arent consolidated into one income tax and then a sales tax. We are getting very little service for the money provided. We are receiving not much service because of inefficiency and territorial nonsense.
