    This falls into the "CREATED BY A SCHOOLTEACHER" category of bullshit claims. We are supposed to treat the product differently because of who created it, instead of analyzing it on its own merits.

    Actually, where I live the malls are intentionally built in the middle of nowhere, to prevent kids from reaching it, presumably.

    I've been witness to numerous "negative miracles", where the divine hand of our Lord decides to inflict his wrath upon some unworthy subject. It often does result in a "God Damnit!", so your hypothesis seems reasonable.

    Shouldnt the "God Damnit" precede the harmful act?

    Also, once, I was chastized by a Christian for saying "God Damnit" when I don't believe in god. My excuse was that it was such a good "damn" curse. I don't believe in religion, but I do like their curse words.

    It's not even that. The military is getting their budget cut the same as every other government agency. A more accurate statement would be:

    "Still, I guess there are budget hawks who need to get re-elected, so something had to give."

    Well that is not fair, the military's budget is so colossal that they should be cut at a much higher rate than everything else.

    The buyers of these auctions probably are exchanges. The exchanges themselves do not want them all dumped into the market at once to prevent the prices from crashing.

    I would say this arrangement benefits the buyers, exchanges and the government at once. It has the added benefit of appearing to not trying to manipulate coin prices too much.

    Are you going to trust someone from Uber to drive you home from a club at 2am in the morning?

    What kind of normal, reputable, people are awake then?

    It is one thing to hitch a ride during the day from A to B, but at night, especially late at night?

    The kind that know that a busy time for taxi services is when bars/clubs close?

    How does it make Uber different from any other taxi service? They show up when there is demand.

    I am sorry, how is it that your cities are entitled to this money? Aside from bribing politicians and ensuring fat paychecks for taxi companies, how does it bring any benefit to the people using public transportation?

    So you are either shilling for taxi companies or politicians. Either way you failed to explain why this is a problem.

    The only thing the Mayors are worried about is the fact that it is a tax revenue stream for them. Regulatory capture allows taxi companies to charge extortionary fees, which are payed in taxes and "campaign gifts" to local politicians.

    While I am not against Uber and Uber drivers paying their fair share of local taxes, all these local chieftons are worried about is their paycheck.
