Nautilus is not a filesystem browser. It is a filesystem manager. It can browse the filesystem if you select the option to "browse the file system" which is what the parent post is talking about.

Don't confuse a browser and a manager. They are not the same.

Nobody can answer the question that says what will the world be like if X did not exist? Or what will the future be like if X stops existing?

The point is our decisions today will determine what the future will look like to us. We haven't made all those decisions yet so the question is:

What will you want the (computer) world to be like in the future, and what decisions should we make toward that.

You are right but I don't see how this has anything to do with the GPL. It applies to every software distributor out there.

The argument is always that the GPL specifically transfers some liability that other licenses don't. By your argument, Somebody can sue IBM for code it got from Computer Associates.

How does the GPL transfer liability. Liability != Waranty.

They did not need to terminate SCO's license. It was already terminated when they claimed the GPL was invalid.

They could have just put them on notice of violation. This gives people the false impression that you need to explicitly terminate the license of a violator. You don't. The license is 'automagically' terminated if they person/entity does not accept the license.

SCO is trying to push their licenses beyond limit and these companies should not be fooled to yield. They should only reveal what is specified in the license.

I don't see how they can be in problems by saying "we are complying with the terms of our licenses to the best of our knowledge" and end there without any mention of Linux.

Wipe of the smoke from your looking glass and you may start seeing that you don't understand what success is. Nor do you understand what beauty is, nor do you understand what wealth is.

True wealth is not measured in money, true beauty is not measured in body form or shape. Only a fool would want a wife he can afford. What determines survival is not how you look or how much money you have.

No doubt the world is in such a downward plunge. Because people like you don't grasp what it means for a human to succeed. If you think Bill gates is a success because of his financial wealth, think again. He may even be one of the most miserable people on earth. The fact that he would struggle to acquire all the money he has is an indication that he hasn't found what he is seeking in life. If only he could get a clue that maybe success is not all about money.

What is nice about Linux is just the fact that it eliminates greed. If that is communism, then so be it. For the same reason you would argue that democracy is anti-evolution because it respects the rights of the minority. Or maybe you agree that humans should be allowed to 'con' each other if they can since that is survival of the fittest.
