I started working out due to a challenge last year; me and a co-worker vs another pair of co-workers. I lost 2 lbs in a month, my co-worker on my team lost 10. We (given my poor showing) lost the challenge.
I then decided that working out without making any change to my eating habits was definitely counter-productive. One year later, I'm floating between 25 and 30lbs down and hope to stay around there (6'3", 180 right now). I still have issues sometimes with eating, but it's much more manageable now.
The challengers who "won" our little bet? Stopped working out shortly after and gained every last bit of the weight back. It's a shame, really - we have a fitness center ON SITE....
With my company discount, the grandfathered unlimited plan that I am on costs 5$ more than if I bought the 200 meg plan. Turns out my discount doesn't apply on the lowest tier plan. This person might have the same deal going on.
This is why I specifically stated one model of car (Toyota Camry) as to not muddle the field with different part #s etc. And I only threw out suggestions as how to fix, seeing as I don't know what's broken in either case.
What's the difference? Well, what's the difference in the 2 encryption cases from a security perspective? Don't know the answer to either I'm afraid.
But at some point you want to fix the source, as it's cheaper and easier from a security (and a physical) perspective to fix it there.
To take your example into account - say Toyota is building a line of Camry cars out of building X. 998 of 1000 have good brakes. They are interested in fixing the cars that are broken, but they're also going to launch an investigation as to why they're broken in the first place. In this case, could be a bad supplier shipping slightly out of spec parts; could be a worker on the line who is dissatisfied with his/her job. That's where fixing the system comes into play - if the system works as it should, then there's no cars to fix (in an ideal world - and that's what we try to get to with security as well.)
Had this exact same thing happen to me. Firecracker near left ear, around 13 or 14. Sucks. Tinnitus seems to come and go depending on my diet and sleep pattern (either that or I can just ignore it easier) but I am SO HAPPY I don't have a Tube TV anymore as the main TV in my house.
My receiver from that same era had an issue with cold solder joints. I wasn't sure why it kept going into "protect" (yay sony) - but when I viewed the boards inside directly, you could see that there were physical breaks on the solder joints; looked like a crusted circle under magnification (digital camera using macro mode.)
Might be worthwhile if you want to resurrect it to look for this (my bad, I replied to the wrong poster...) It didn't save me any money - I had already bought a replacement for it, but I did find a new home for it. It's in my garage as my source of entertainment when I'm working on the cars/motorcycles..... and through the past 2 years cold/warm cycles, has not given me any grief whatsoever.
I vaguely remember commercials for a service that you could dial up by phone and ask questions - and they'd find you answers - probably using any search engines available. This was maybe a year ago? Haven't seen any thing like that since. But since smart phones have taken off, I don't (didn't?) see much use for that service. Probably out of business by now....
Maybe you could google it for me to see if it's still around lol
I didn't say people couldn't. I said the average person will not know how to put it on a thumb drive - in addition to having a webcam or some easy way to just "click - record - upload". The logistics behind it are more than I would want to discover from a standpoint of doing it myself. Of course, this is my opinion - doesn't mean it won't work in all situations, but I guarantee you that I have at least 2 family members that would not be able to accomplish this without calling me.
Night before - rehearsal dinner. This is basically where the close family/wedding party get together and go over the ceremony that follows the next day. Then everyone gets together and goes out to eat. I had 3 gentlemen (my father and two brother-in-laws) give me money for this. I did not expect it at all; typically the bride and groom pay for it from what I've seen.
Wedding day - you're bound to get gifts on this day; typically from a "registry" of items you've compiled at various stores. Me and the wife were already pretty settled, living together for about 6 years before. Some got us prepaid visa cards etc. But no one brings money to the table for the reception (I've honestly never heard of it being done in the US). Bride and Groom foot the reception/food/drink.
Note to self: you shouldn't have to bend over backwards in a relationship or get smacked around for being yourself. Compromise happens, but someone getting pissed because you put your personality into something is not a relationship I'd want to be in.
This is exactly what my wedding was. I covered the whole thing, from rings to dress to wedding to reception to food with my normal pay. I have a co-worker who makes (between him and his wife) a good bit more than me and my wife, and he said they had 300 guests.
300 guests!!! I could probably find that many, but wow. To me that's a lot. But it's what she wanted, and they're still paying on the wedding.
I'm not saying either way is better or worse, but you're right to point out that for our personality types, smaller worked and was very enjoyable.
The average person is not going to know how to make a video and put it on a usb drive. If there was a simple way to give them a link to where they could record it and immediately upload, then cool - but then you're relying on the fact that they have the ability to record it easily (webcam? etc.) Seems like you'll be getting tech support calls on that one.
Back when I was a teen; me and my girlfriend shared our passwords to our accounts on the computer system at school. During our computer classes, we could log into the (netware) system and look on each other's drives for documents (we didn't have email, this was 1992). Simple yet effective way of passing notes.
Of course, don't change the password then and not tell her. Man, I got in a lot of trouble for that:)
But when the size of a "dinky oversized thumb drive" fits your space constraints better than 2 2.5" SSDs stacked on top of one another (not to mention a native USB interface? Not sure if the SSDs have that, I know some do) then you'll pay for the convenience.
This is definitely not for everyone. Even I have trouble seeing the market for this. But someone will buy it. Guaranteed. Would it be enough to make a profit? Maybe that's why it's $3000.
I think all new cars are going to this methodology. I own a new-to-me lexus ES350. Has a rather spirited V6 mated to a 6 speed transmission, and when I first started driving it I thought it was very weird - with light acceleration, the car goes through the gears at the same rate you're stating your wife's does. I have a good friend who's wife owns one of the new 2012 Toyota Camrys with an inline 4 - same 6 speed transmission from what I can tell, and the same results. Quick shifts when driven easy, keeping the engine from over revving and wasting gas due to momentum.
Of course, you have to have an engine built to provide enough torque to get you moving in this scenario. Otherwise you're waiting forever to accelerate. And in the city, I can tell you - it seems like EVERYONE is in a race to the next red light. Most of my commute is a 2x2 lane road - I typically will run in the far right lane doing the speed limit with relaxed acceleration. People get upset when you do the speed limit.....

Sales tax here adds on $8.13. So Newegg is cheaper (granted, not by much, but still)
Right there with you. Sick of looking at the page; there's no link in IE or Firefox.
I know my basement isn't that clean - I hardly sweep my office room; but clogging with dust in a month? Holy hell.
Yeah... I agree :)

In-flight WIFI? sweet.
But if you have to look, then telling someone not to look at it is kind of an impossible proposition, right?
Why in the hell did I click on that lol

So with RAID-5 I won't need all of your cards, just N-1.

Duh, the recently divorced who want some arm candy, that's who.
Next you'll be quoting Slaughter or Skid Row
