He again apologized and I ended the call with a thank you.
You know, sometimes I do feel for the call center workers. Just imagine the calls they are going to get; people who aren't anywhere near as pleasant as you were to them.
Everyone who calls in regarding this "issue" needs to keep a cool head about it -- they're people on the other end of the phone. Don't just berate them or shout profanities....
So, you may think the drugstore where you bought condoms doesn't know where you live, but since your home address is on file with, say, Blockbuster, you might just get some junkmail from the drugstore in a few weeks offering you a deal to come down and by some more condoms.
If you've wife's on the pill, she might have some questions when the mailman visits that day.
Then the answer is simple. Don't fuck around on your wife.
Or don't buy condoms. Or try talking with your wife.
Just because someone knows what I purchased where... you know, it really doesn't matter in the whole scheme of things.
Sounds like whatever was on the machine trashed your machine so you couldn't just "reboot" and figure out what went wrong.
There'll always be something left behind, though... I'd say make an image of the drive to DVD or another HDD and start over then. You'll have your data, and you'll also have everything else that's left on the drive (assuming the reboot didn't just cause more destruction....)
Reimport bookmarks? Dude, they're still under your documents&settings folder (winxp/2k). They'll come up and integrate automatically.
I migrated back to moz because of another issue. Even brought up my "default" and "Off network" profiles that I choose from when I'm away from the office.....
Maybe you'll need some extensions re-installed. But a majority of what you're saying is downright out the window; I know this for a fact.
I've actually just uninstalled Firefox from my work laptop.
Every now and again (1x daily) when using firefox and I go to CTRL-W a tab, it'll shut my machine down.
Seriously. Even after 1.01. I'll try it again once a new rev comes out.
No problems with the latest mozilla.
Of course, I also don't have this issue at home on my home theater box, but I also don't slam that box as hard (as in usage, not the physical-sort-of-slammin')
Slightly offtopic, but relevant to this thread

If you care about how your music sounds (and you have to use the analog out), don't use onboard sound.....
4 words that will help:
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz.
Comp-usa stopped stocking these cards on the shelves in my local store. They went for around 50$ before any rebates the last time I checked.
I'm sure there are other cards out there that will fit the "low noise, no clipping" sound card category, but this is one card that I am very very impressed with. If they start to go out of production, I'll probably buy a few to put in some of my other machines.
Another cheaper alternative; I got a SB Live 5.1 oem card from someone..... it's relatively decent on the output stages as well.
There are programs out there (freeware) that can list every process running on the box etc. Some will even show you what filename launched the process etc... much better than task mangler.
Also, if you're privvy, before you clean the box up you should download ethereal and see what kind of traffic it is passing. Of course, you need to have a little bit of networking understanding, but it's not hard to look at and see all of the source/destinations that packets are traversing.
In addition, I've found that MS Anti-spyware beta (google microsoft antispyware) works like a champ when it comes to getting rid of those last few things that Spybot and Adaware will not clean up....
I can spot a diesel jetta from a mile away. Sounds like a gasoline engine that is falling apart.
Given, that's how diesels sound from the outside. They're not bad cars, but if someone rides with you that is knowledgable about cars, they'd pick it up in a second.
Either that or ask you why your valves are clankin':)
Also, in the end of your rant, you choose to tell us that we can choose to avoid the temptation.
But prior, you're asking a Best Buy employee (who has no say on what gets placed at the counter to begin with) to remove the Swimsuit Issue.
Does it feel good that you made someone squirm? Try giving up that temptation the next time you feel all high and mighty. Making people feel uncomfortable is a temptation as well.
The processors have to stay in step so you don't have scenarios where one thinks it's got a lock on a memory address, then BANG the second one writes over that memory first....
Then the first one writes over the same memory location, and then the second one gets invalid data from the same memory position if re-read....
Fun stuff.
Of course, you could run them on totally seperate memory spaces, but then you'd effectively have 2 computers....

Maybe Windows XP Home Edition No-No.

Damn it! I just lost mod points yesterday, and I see this...

God... Damn.. .it...
This device isn't for you. In fact, this device isn't for me either.
But I really don't give a shit that it costs more than an ipod mini. I really don't care that you can buy 2 of X when you can only buy one of the PSP.
I saw the unit today... Lemme tell you, if they come out with a few of the games I like, I may just fork up the money.
So, when a new product comes out, let's compare it to ALL THE THINGS it isn't. Jesus.
I hate slashdot.
Man, I could read most of that. But you screwed me up on literacy....
Guess I need to brush up.
Normally, I've found going to text-chat rooms, you run into the same problems.
Which is why we had to password protect our TeamSpeak server so that we could keep the morons out of our UT chat room. God, that was annoying.
My point is this -- if you're afraid someone is going to show you their wang... well, maybe you should just video chat with friends...?
Alright.
:)
Got me, hook line and sinker..
Restart your computer?
Right.

Wouldn't that be the grandfather of all the RTFF?

Is there a charge associated with converting the traffic?
Similar to an Exchange rate for currency...
Oh well, I thought it was funny when I thought it up.

CVT's of a given size can only handle so much torque at once.
The same thing is true of any drivetrain, regardless of input.
I think a CVT with a diesel/hybrid would be one hell of a blessing. I have a friend with a Jetta TDI(yes, gay) and it's horrible on the top end.
You definitely need laid.
By a man.

I don't know about you, but I usually am not sent to the supermarket by my company to buy a dds4 drive. We've got vendors for our equipment. :)
It would be a sight and a half to see you attempt to cripple someone with only a video card.

Don't you think with usb2.0 they could increase their sample rate on mice?
It's not the interface that limits at that point.
Look on the bright side.
If you had money, you could start a business advising people what NOT to invest in.
That might turn a pretty penny... knowing you, it'd fall flat on it's face though.
I'll show you my "O" face.
What does the result say?
