Obviously harvested from the home planets of other civilizations they've destroyed. What a silly question.
Here's a silly though but if you have interstellar travel... why not just pillage other planets for resources and maybe colonize planets that still have plenty of resources? Just a thought.
A rocket with wheels is still just a rocket, doesn't matter where its aimed.
True, but most rockets aren't meant to make contact with the ground. SAMs are suppose to leave the surface to contact enemy fighters. NASA's rockets leave the surface and don't come back until they are done. This rocket is meant to stay earthbound. It a completely different kinda of rocket, all together.
Well the have something like that going in Georgia. If you homeless and jobless, they get you a place to live and teach you a skill so you'll be a productive member of society. Once you go out on job interviews the state gets you a mobile phone, because the state believes its a requirement in this day and age.
"Every screen needs to be touch. A monitor without touch feels dead."
Are they serious? I mean, touch screens are great in locations where you don't have to room or space to have a keyboard(Phones Tablets), but i don't want to have to put my hands all over the screen of my desktop and laptop monitors. Am i the only one who feels this way?
You have to get a pass to get past the electric card reader at reception desk. From there you just open two doors and your in the server room. You could literally throw away your pass, open the IT office door, and then walk right into the server room. Don't get me wrong, the door is locked. but the latch is taped over so people can get in and out. I think its because all the fire alarm system is in there, as well as all the breakers for the building. I'd be more worried about if it wasn't a small office environment.
It clearly states that he exceeded what the username/password was given to him for. Like giving you a key to my house, so you can feed my dog. But then you use my computer while your there. I never gave you the key to my house so you could use my computer. So... 5 years in jail and $250k fine.
I don't know what kinds of devices most people use, but i opted out of the model with robot arms, facial recognition software, and ruler to smack you with when you stop paying attention to it.
Isn't a non broadcasting SSID technically secure? I mean devices will still see the network, but without the SSID of the router, accessing it becomes impossible right?
As the post says, this will not be for residential use. That would be just silly. At a 12k mile radius, i imagine it will be used to provide internet for a continent or two.
Caught an episode of modern marvels about toilets and they discussed the pay toilets of new york. They actually didn't seem that bad, but then again, i don't have a smell-o-vision.
That might not be entirely true, while it is true that solid state amps may be more low noise than tube amps, They tend to inadvertently filter out more of the high and low range of audio. Where as tube amps, albeit a little noisy, perform better in all ranges of audio, hence "better" sound.
Google Maps claimed there was a Starbucks near the rover.
Hell, maybe there is
It's highly likely. You cant walk a block without running into at least one Starbucks here on earth.
where would you get enough matter

I recognize that humanity has overpopulated the earth
What do you base that on? Humanity may have overpopulated Calcutta, or Sao Paulo. We haven't overpopulated Wyoming.
And there's still the ocean... we could go all Kevin Costner.
What is there to make autonomous? Engine start/stop and throttle control? It's not like you should try steering at those speeds.

No more so than a rocket boat or car that's gone airborne is a plane.

I'll assume you mean my sig and thank you.

That would make sense. You don't boost tourism by opening 50 online stores.

Wire hooked up from the USB port delivers a 5 volt shock when user clicks on a malware site.
I've always preferred positive over negative reinforcement.

Yea, every time i guess that im wrong, I'm usually right.
I was gonna say something about your post being "rather unoriginal"... but i got distracted.

I've got a bad feeling about this...
Controlled and orderly anonymity. All while being unobserved. Makes perfect sense.
I admit that my math was off... i somehow missed the "sq". Regardless, my statement still stands. It would be silly to put it in your house!

was the rest of it made from what looked like brushed stainless steel? Than yes, that was it.
