And if there's not enough interest in a channel to keep it afloat, then let it die! It's just wasting money.
I risk sounding contrary to what I believe, but here is a short list off the top of my head of shows "without enough interest":
Arrested Development The 4400 Firefly TtSCC Futurama* Family Guy* X files* Kings The Misadventures of Jackie Woodman Strange Luck Jericho Life on Mars The Unusuals Veronica mars The Tick My so called Life
Much as I hate to admit it, if ala carte ever came around we would be left with essentially "POP TV," in that only the highest profiting channels (and thusly styles) would survive.
The pupils of the Tendai school used to study meditation before Zen entered Japan. Four of them who were intimate friends promised one another to observe seven days of silence.
On the first day all were silent. Their meditation had begun auspiciously, but when night came and the oil lamps were growing dim one of the pupils could not help exclaiming to a servant: "Fix those lamps."
The second pupils was surprised to hear the first one talk. "We are not supposed to say a word," he remarked.
"You two are stupid. Why did you talk?" asked the third.
"I am the only one who has not talked," concluded the fourth pupil. Source
not like once you've lit your 10,000th stick of incense, some guy named Buddha appears before you, smacks you on the forehead to open up your third eye and then you're suddenly enlightened.
It had a very complex plot with many main characters. Outstanding writing, acting, suspense, and plot development made this the best show on television.
Ok, it was a good show with a decent moving story, but best show on television? What about Breaking Bad, Life, Heroes, Dexter, Entourage, Lost and that other show I can't remember right now from the UK?. Hell, I put bones character development over TSCC.
I loved TSCC, and wished they hadn't taken it off the air, but thats what Fox does. It's unfortunate too, because WB would have let the show run it's course but the execs there would have dulled the edge down to the point that the show sucked (there Smallville, I said it).
What? He stole clothes, but put them back, so what did he steal? He set off the alarm but was allowed to leave so how did he get away? Are all of your local news reports in zen koan form?
I am planning on stealing Hordware/software/company secrets/customers from my company/boss/girlfriend(mother)/government, but I don't want to get caught because that's bad. What's my best course of action and is there anything I should look out for?
DARPA isn't enough. If we had a broader mission for R&D than "defense" initiatives, we would be in a position to licence government owned IP to the corporate world without having to wait out our licenses in the name of national security. Having such a commodity reduces the tax burden on on the citizen (from license fees), reduces the corporate need for an R&D dept (lower cost to consumer) and increases quality of publicly available tech (from not being forced to design for maximum profit).
Unfortunately, I don't think this is what anyone has in mind, so get ready for more suck.
FUCK YOU!! I had the same hardware and the same distro (3.1, if I recall), with vastly different results. I can't believe I'm still bitter about that...
If the first 30 seconds of a song are missing- maybe that makes youtube confident that it could be considered fairuse
Or if 30 seconds of additional blank footage were tacked on to the beginning?
And FWIW, there is a very valid reason for assumming they aren't using this fingerprint system: They already had their own in-house created system that they based off of their thumbnail maker program. It is also limited to within 30 sec of a clip if I recall.

It usually takes several smacks.
Did somebady say jÃvsfrÃ¥gan?
There's nothing self serving or evil about that; it's how things work in big business.
There are people who feel that those two positions are not mutually exclusive.
It was Life on Mars.
She was also on Angel as a ballerina trapped in time, forced to reenact her last performance for over 200 years.

Solar Bullet LLC has already built trains in Brockway, Ogdenville, and North Haverbrook, and by golly it put them on the map!
You can end that sentance on criminally charged. That it is a felony is that much worse.

Funny how they seem to lack the same understanding of (then) current technology and terminology as the current group.

I saw a netflix channel in my boxee release (I just installed it last night). But I don't have a netflix account, so I haven't used it.
