    And if I want to retrieve.. say I found one somewhere.. I have to either use my phone, or some convoluted e-mail system?

    While I applaud the idea for its originality. I'd rather just have a webpage and a gallery.

    And if you are somehow to poor to have your own damn page (I mean, come on), but if you are.. how many free picture services are there out there? Nevermind the fall back on MSN or Yahoo or other image hosting company.

    To me... this is work... for the artsy fartsy college kids with nothing better to do... sure have at it ladies...

    Ok... we have electronic voting... But NOW we're going to pass bills to avoid issues, and make sure there is a "HARD COPY" also made at the same time. Umm.. ok. On top of that, we're going to be concerned that the vote was counted correct?

    What's wrong with people today?

    Just give them a god-damned old fashioned piece of paper... tell them to color in the circle, check the box, whatever... and then put it in the machine.

    WOW... there's not a HARD COPY, and we're using the same standard reliable machines that we've always used, and no one has complained about THOSE counting the votes wrong... they're not open source software or hardware... but hey... those are ok.

    We're re-inventing the wheel... and forcing the same outcome. Instead of pushing a button... and then having it spit out a piece of paper.. most places get the paper first, and then put it in the machine.

    Dozen of one, 2 1/2 dozen of the other... Who's winning here?? The freaking company that is making and forcing these counties to buy the hardware and software... Then we have 90 year old ladies running the place... and we wonder why the machines don't work?

    I say screw these voting machines. If people are always going to wonder if their vote was "counted" (what a stupid saying really...) then stop using them.

    As if it came out of my out mouth... The problem is, the arrogance in the "tech" world is huge. They live in front of their computers... chat with friends and collegues on IM or IRC. They know more about shebangs then they do about their fellow man.

    They don't go to church, and belittle the people who do go, or just flat out see the world differently.

    The same people who says if you don't like / agree with gays then you're a homophobe and are intollerant... All the while being completely intollerant of that persons view.

    It's the, freedom of speech is ok as long as I agree with it attitude.

    The same people who plauded Michael Moores drivel... claimed free speech, yet then proceeded to get the swift vets book banned, and pulled from the shelves. Free speech my ass.

    Until these people start becoming intellectually honest with themselves, nothing will change.

    The Democratic party will now split. The moderate will say that they were too far to the left... the far left will say they were not far enough. She'll crumble... When you don't have core values, and don't stand for anything... this will happen.

    Change the Government and your corporations wouldn't have to bend over for them.

    The Chinese Government is the School Bully, and Google is the weak kid getting beat up everyday. Google either goes around and stays under the Bully's radar, or gets beat up again.

    You're telling Google to stand up to the Bully only to get beat up again, while you share none of the consequences.... You just demand.

    If you want change, then you need to stand up and ask for it. If Google sees others standing up against the Chinese Government asking for change then Google will stand with you. If you ask them to do it alone, then they won't. They know they'll be beaten.

    But no one is bitching about the Chinese Government... What's up with that? It's the Chinese Government making these policies, and if google wants in, then they must comply. Simple.

    If the United States Government required Google to filter out all READ: EVIL CONTENT, then the same folks would be up in arms over the US Gov't, and not google.

    I guess out of sight out of mind eh? Or maybe it's just expected from Communists? I can't say why... More of an observation, but I do find it interesting that people are reacting harder on Google then the Government.

    Moore wants people to vote against Bush, but this movie will have an opposite effect.

    Let's say an undecided person watches the movie the day before. The day of the election he comes in all pissed off about Bush. His Co-worker then points to one of the numberous sites calling the movie a "work of fiction" with source to reputable newspapers, etc.

    The guy is then pissed off that he was "duped" by Moore.

    Whether the being "duped" is true or not, I'm not arguing, but I DO see this transpiring. He'll then go into the voting booth feeling like he was lied to, and will NOT be trusting of the other candidate, i.e., Kerry. And will either vote for Bush, or vote for Nader if he still hates Bush.

    My words of advice:

    Vote for who you like, and not who you Hate. If you hate them all, vote for your mother instead. You still don't hate her right?

    Sub 7 / BO and others have given the user *cough* kiddie *cough* this ablility for some time.

    Sure they're not a worm, but the idea isn't new.

    Funny now that I think about it, but I used to use Sub 7 on my home computer so I could access it from anywhere via an odd port and password protected. I could view my web cam, take control of my computer, ftp files upload and download to where-ever I was.

    Honestly, it was an extremely useful program. And when I was done, I'd just shut down the server.

    I've moved over to linux so I can ssh now, but as windows went, it was still one of the best remote programs I've ever used.
