Anyways early in the morning (4am) you could some times hear a succession of sonic booms 5 or 6 in a row coming from off the Gulf of Mexico. Put the 2 together and it makes you think?

What!!? hacking juvenile? You would not be online now if it where not for people playing with, experimenting "HACKING" computers. Hacking is fundamental and does not necessarily apply to just computers (cue inspirational background music) Apollo 13 never would have gotten back to earth safely if the astronauts didn't "Hack" there system, you would not be able to download any Divx movies let me say that again you would not be able to down load any Divx if it were not for those loveable "Hackers". Homer Simpson and his fellow co workers never would have been able to leave work early if he had not "Hacked" the security camera by playing a continues VHS loop of them working from 70's.

Also someone defacing a web site is not really hacking in my book there just doing something that's been done before. It's sometimes interesting, some times amusing. But basically its just digital graffiti. Just don't call it hacking....

Bill was sent here from some far off Vulcan like world to contaminate the Earth with DOS and windows. Weakening are computational powers, rendering the Earth defenseless to the oncoming horde.
It's a fact that he is an alien. The NSA and FBI did a scientific study on him back in the 60's, to see if he posed a threat to the US. During the final and decisive test, a researcher threw a red dodge ball at his head in order to test his reflexes. Bill failed to move or even raise his arms in self defense The ball bounced clean off of his forehead. Flustered by the impact to his face, Mr. Gates began to stare at dodge ball angrily until a Microsoft windows logo appeared on its side. The FBI and NSA felt that Bill Gates posed no immediate threat to the nation, seeing how he used his powers for capitalistic purposes and not for communist propaganda they let him go.

The sad thing about this show is that threw clever editing of video and interviews taken out of context it was convincing to people of average intelligence unfamiliar with NASA. So convincing that my friends were buying into this shows conspiracy theory. I was constantly defending NASA threw out the entire program. It made me look like a shell to the government, like I was the crazy one not the guy on the show talking about a giant vacuumless film studio at area 51.
The 2 things that really pissed me off were
    1. The use of unrelated video footage. Like footage from WW II of dieing Japanese children with radiation poisoning using that to illustrate what happens in the Van Allan belt.
    2. Saying NASA may have deliberately sabotaged Apollo 1 to keep Gus Grissom form blowing the whistle on the moon cover up. The narrator of the show said it was a strange unknown mystery how the fire was started and how it spread so rapidly. That's completely not true there are 1000 of pages documenting how the fire started and spread.

In summery I now hate fox.

Yes I know he called the internet "dark and evil" or something like that.
But actions speak louder then words. Bush's has appointed Michael Powell to head the FCC, and Powell has publicly stated that the government should not tell parents how to raise their kids and the FCC will not be in the business of deciding what is appropriate to broadcast. To further illustrate this point the FCC has now dropped it's obscenity case against Howard Stern.

point being I like interaction, I like having some say in a situation.
yes you can over do it I think playing a video game till you hear birds chirping in the morning is a problem and in the future when games have more realistic environments. it will probable be looked at like a gambling or a drug problem.

my main point is this. it's been about a year or so since i have played it. but i can remember events in the game as if they were my acutely memories for instance sniping Unatco troops from a bride in Paris. fighting Agent Nervaro talking to Tracer Tong, and so on (man do I sound crazy) I have played other role playing games before Final Fantasy, Zelda, Baldurs gate but i really can't remember jack shit from them. the creators of this game did a great job immersing (sucking) the player into the game. i think this is due to the freer environment and story line. there were always multiple ways of solving a problem and dealing with people in the game, and the story revolved around conspiracies and land marks that we have all heard about. unlike Baldurs gate which was set in a fantasy world. This is why I call it a Quasi Reality, there were things in the game that we were already familiar with.

it's a good thing the graphics where not 3D photo realistic other wise i would probably have a Schizoid Embolism like in Total Recall.

After noticing I had not received any new email in over a day, not even spam (talk about a killer spam filter). Tech support told me that they were having problems (dugh) and that they were planning on dumping a large chunk of email in the server to clear the connection. They did not state that in their press release, I think it's lame not to tell people that their email was lost or never delivered.

Also they stated in the press release that only dial-up connections were affected. Again not true, I'm on a DSL.

By in large I have relatively few complaints with my service. My connection is always supafast, but then again I can open my window and throw a rock at the verizon building.
