not like he was ripping DVD's to play on his ipod or iphone because the digital copy thing for blu ray is a scam. not like he only watched the stolen copy in his home. he uploaded it so it could be downloaded by others
when i worked for Uncle Sam the only sure way was to scrub the hard drive with wire brushes. a lot of the people that worked on Top Secret data would do that to their old hard drives when getting rid of old computers. for less sensitive data the standard was five complete passes over a hard drive to flip the bits. once or twice and a pro can still get data off it.
if this were turned over to private industry they would centralize the entire project in one or two locations and piss off a lot of congress people who currently have a piece of the pie.
no nonsense of putting parts together in different locations and transporting them around the country
if people are willing to spend $2000 on Macbooks just to do their work, then management would be dumb to stand in the way and spend company money on company laptops
might have cost a lot the first time, but after a while you can reuse the data with minor modifications to create "new" photos
like development, over the last 20 some years so much code has been written that all the IDE's come with lots of libraries now so you don't have to rewrite from scratch.
most of the bloggers write up a summary with a link, this is not journalism. filming news happening and reporting on what is happening is called reporting the news.
in this case the blogger deserves what they got. the news media goes out of it's way to say alleged and not call people thieves until they get convicted in a court of law. which is the way it should be
the Supreme Court is not a trial court, they only hear appeals after a trial has taken place and appeals to lower level courts have been exhausted. they don't hear any evidence.
the parties submit their briefs, other parties submit their briefs depending on who's side they are on. the record of the case goes to the justices. each party gets something like 15 minutes to summarize their case during which they are constantly interrupted by the justices with their questions.
almost a year later after looking at the records the justices give a decision and most times the case is sent to a lower court for more litigation
don't believe idiotic tech magazine stories written by people who don't know how it works
walkman over full stereo compressed DVD over laser disk MP3's over mobile CD players watching movies and TV shows on phones/tablets/computers instead of a big TV in full HD PC's over main frames laptops over PC's tablets and netbooks over real laptops/desktops
the list goes on and on with mobility and convenience always winning over quality
is there any software that alerts you something is wrong? at the minimum it will tell you what is out there? what about the backup software reports?
i use netbackup to back up our MS SQL servers and didn't like the built in reporting. i wrote my own procedure to import a few tables from the msdb database where the backup data is kept into a central database and use SQL Server Reporting Services to send daily emails of the latest backup times of each server/database. along with a few alert reports of databases that were never backed up or haven't been backed up for 7 days.
the log files are right there in the phone and you can easily see them
this sounds like the issue with the touchpad where HP had the diagnostics set to max and the performance was crap. except in this case the manufacturers are using twice the RAM and twice the MHz CPU's for android phones compared to the iphone to make up for the overhead of this software.
most of the tech geeks creaming themselves over specs are idiots because they don't realize it's just for crap like this
carriers and handset makers need the ability to monitor their networks for problem cell sites and areas of low to no signal as well diagnostics about the phone and any problem apps.
if you go for tech support it's not like the people magically know everything that is wrong with your phone. the diagnostics data is collected and analyzed. if you complain of dropped calls its important to know where they are occuring
30 years ago we had ozone and smog over our cities. manufacturers would dump their trash into our rivers and pollute our food supply in the process. i would look at manhattan and see a brownish smog cloud. there are still parts of NYC that are polluted from decades of manufacturing and uninhabitable due to all the chemicals in there. Jet Blue and Whole Foods had to spend tens of millions of $$$ in order to build on some of these polluted lands.
CO2 is bull sh1t compared to the pollution we had decades ago

Don't care supporting home made IT solutions, just get the boss to buy it all for me so I know how to use it
Almost everyone offers a super precious metal support contract where you keep the bad parts

assange releases real evidence. he doesn't call people names without anything to back it up

that's the question. where do they store their internal email and data? in another cloud? in their own systems?
if they store it locally then why should i send my data to them?
not surprising since the Mayo Clinic came up with something similar and the litigation is about how broad a patent like this can be

Just like Jurassic Park, but colder

look at the workload
find the tool to best do the job
if you want the same tool all around then find the one that will give you the least headaches all around or change the way you do things
MASS EFFECT
play it on the x-box
i was going to try some biotic implants
neither did a lot of the vikings
reason greenland is called greenland is because back then it was green, full of life and no glaciers
since android is open you can just compile the code yourself and install a copy of the OS on your phone without this
the log files are right there in the phone and you can easily see them

apple has to somehow support their products. cheaper to license software than write it yourself from scratch

everything it collects is viewable to the user and you can turn it off in settings > general > about > diagnostics & usage
you're a moron
