i've looked at new construction and every new house i see, the frame is built from CLT, not you 2x4's. of course this is national builders, not your local contractor who knows how to build a whole house.
new homes are built from Cross Laminated Timber, which is itself made from the leftover parts of wood and trees no one cuts trees down anymore just to build a house
who says i'ts your ISP's fault? how do you know where the video is being served from? for all you know it's from 3000 miles away and has to travel over 3 or 4 different networks
we have a lot more news sources than 20 years ago. trouble is the kiddie bloggers rarely do more than link to an original news source and comment about it. These internet news sites need to start doing their own reporting. maybe start up something like AP or Reuters for investigative reporting and other hard news for internet news sites
yeah, imagine an Ayn Rynd HBO series with lots of sex or some life in Jesusland HBO special with sex, cheating, swinging and secret gay love with a family values theme behind it
yeah they have settlement free peering, but it's L3 sending most of the data now. and they want verizon to upgrade because they send so much data.
wait till verizon will start to send a lot more data back to L3 to see what their reaction is going to be. with all the cloud services starting to have very nice free levels of service give it another year where a lot of people will auto upload a lot of data and edit it in the cloud.
biggest problem with upload is you send it over free links with Tier 1 networks, or you pay them to take your traffic. with all the user generated stuff now like Twitch, flickr, video calling and other services where you want a fast upload speed that's a lot of data to be paying for.
with the current L3/Verizon dispute i wonder if they struck a deal where verizon will allow the connections to be upgraded for netflix to work on their network in exchange for L3 taking all their uploaded data for free.
Most of Youtube is professionally produced videos where youtube shares the ad revenue with the creator. That's how people make money to be able to produce more videos.
you either get rid of advertising and pay to watch each video, or you put up with advertising. My account is enabled for revenue sharing, but i rarely upload anything and don't rely on it. but if took and produced videos and relied on ad revenue, i would stop very fast if i didn't get paid.

internet is interstate commerce since the data will cross state lines, which means its subject to federal regulation
anything that goes on strictly inside the state is not subject to federal regulation
the AWACS are there to guide the F-35 to kill enough aircraft first so there is no dog fight
because the russian missiles worked so well in iraq in 1990 and 2003?
F-35 + electronic warfare will destroy the russian missile batteries
yep
but then every war has been about resources and religion or anything like that
most property deeds out there already exclude water and mineral rights. this has been a periodic problem going back hundreds of years
US military does periodic defense reviews and the ones i saw back in the late 90's predicted wars over water shortages

who is throttling youtube?
hosting video content on the internet without paying a CDN or directly peering with ISP's is asking for trouble
i think all you need is a redress number from the TSA. or just get a known traveler number
what options?
you but a disc, put it into the player and it plays. worst case you go make the snacks during the crapfest before the movie
OMG, people want to get paid for their work
one movie a month, dump netflix and rent via itunes or vudu once a month

yeah, lets see how much L3 cries now that things might get a little more balanced. i bet they will suddenly want to be paid a lot more

only if you have nothing else to do with a phone or tablet except listen to music or watch netflix 24x7

meanwhile the android owners are dropping $10 on crap like launchers and file managers to feel in control
Microsoft was an isp, had an internet portal and owned expedia before google existed
