    yep

    been using feedly for at least a year. i've used flipboard a little as well and they will probably work on their own RSS subscription service now

    the geeks probably hate feedly because it looks pretty, but i hated using google reader's GUI.

    new PC can be bought for a few hundred $$$. comes with MS Windows and you can run office on it. very easy to set up out of the box

    used PC you have to pay someone $50 or more per hour to configure them one by one and pay the software licenses

    and even 2006 computers without 4GB of RAM are SLOW. try running Chrome with a few tabs open. there are $279 best buy specials with 4GB of RAM

    destroy the hard drives if you're paranoid and just junk the PC's

    It does seem evil but apple is forcing a fair and profitable ecosystem for developers to get paid

    iOS devs make more money which is why the best new apps are on iOS first

    Go look at the top 10 lists on both stores. iOS its real applications. Android you have nonsense like launcher pro in along with other geek apps in the top ten

    it rides on top of google reader, but i think you can use it without google to save RSS feeds. awesome iOS app as well

    Ea refused to refund purchases when the game clearly didn't work as advertised. Implied warranty should come into play unless ea can prove that most attempts to play the game worked

    Otherwise don't buy the game on release day
    You people fall for the supermarket checkout aisle high margin item impulse buy scam

    If you buy the game on release day then you're tagged as someone willing to pay any amount to play the game. Just like sports fans paying for the sports packages and music fans paying today's ridiculous ticket prices.

    Everyone complains but they still whip the credit card out like a good Pavlov dog consumer

    I've seen every version from 2.2 up to 4 and it's the same 7 screens with an app tray to hold all your apps

    apple's grid reminds me of windows 3.1 of all things. it works. no reason to change it. i've used windows for twenty years and every time there is a new version coming out the dummies on the internet always panned MS for keeping the same GUI. They finally changed it in Window 8 and the same idiots are saying there was no reason to change it.

    android's GUI is a fairly close copy of Blackberry

    going from say $10 billion market cap to $226 billion does not mean someone invested that money into the company. it just means people bid up the price of the shares based on beliefs of the company's future earnings and ability to pay dividends. chances are only a small percentage of shares held actually changed hands.

    same thing with the fall in valuation. people dump their shares at lower and lower prices and the market cap goes down. not like people lose real money

    i mean i can't believe there aren't hordes of VC's just waiting to invest in companies that don't have any sales or revenues.

    advertising has always been about targeting your ads. we gone from the 18-49 demographic to targeting advertising to as a few as a few dozen people. what's the point of marketing something to people who will never have an interest in buying your product?

    silicon valley has always been about incremental improvements, periodic revolutions in tech followed by dozens of me too investments

    Since every app has to be signed by apple's key, how would a hacker get their software on your phone?

    Only thing I can think of is create a jailbreak and try to deploy it via an App Store GUI
