    its not lead its the upbringing of people out of poverty

    over the last 40 some years the poverty rate has fallen, lots of products are cheap now. 30 years ago if poor people were bored they would go rob or kill someone. They called it Wilding in NYC like when the central park jogger was raped and beaten. these days poor people have x-boxes and you just play call of duty to pass the time

    poor people have so much stuff compared to 40-50 years ago there is almost no reason to rob and kill any more

    i've bought nvidia cards since the 1990's TNT2 and they always pull this crap
    one time they announced a card and they hadn't taped out the GPU to TSMC yet

    9 month wait for retail means the final product is not ready and they don't have a manufacturing deal set up yet. for all the hype of the Tegra 4, the LTE modem is not ready yet so don't expect phones for it until next year at the earliest. by then the apple A8 will be out

    expect this to hit stores by august 31 to and in the mean time geeks will be creaming their shorts reading blog posts about how awesome this and watching unboxing videos made by the PR guys

    WTF is the point of streaming the entire game rather than the cloud just taking care of the back end

    nvidia is going down the toilet with apple and qualcomm killing their business so they had to make up this crazy idea to stay relevant

    strike a deal with MS to use their OS on their own branded device which has pretty good penetration in the market

    kindle books will work
    most of the popular apps like facebook and netflix will work
    have MS do the work of porting less popular games and apps

    instant market share for MS

    long ago i sold my used games on ebay. the price you get for them is not worth the time you spend listing it, packing it and sending it.

    digital with no resale rights is a lot better and convenient and a lot of times cheaper than physical copy

    they probably used the SDK to make their version of android. now they will most likely run to Microsoft which is worse for google

    samsung probably copied a few of apple's design patents, but you can't patent the concept of a touch screen device. apple never made touch screens and samsung had real touch screen phones in testing before the iphone was released. along with others.

    the iphone's strength was that it had a real almost desktop class OS. LG Prada had the crappy Qualcomm Brew. If LG shipped an android phone in late 2006 then it would have been a totally different story. Android as an OS was close to ready in 2006 it just that the GUI was made for blackberry type phones

    amal whatever was nothing special. and then they spent all that money on a MMO when they are now free to play and a dime a dozen

    should have looked at the mobile dev houses. these guys have much lower development and distribution costs. and with in app purchasing they are generating steady revenue for months or years after a game's release. unlike the consoles where you sell it the first week or two and then sales drop to almost nothing

    this is for capacitive screens

    you seem to not get the concept of patents. you can't patent an idea of a stylus but a specific implementation of it. in this case using a different type of stylus on a specific type of screen

    yes we have had these before, but this one is different. just like we've had 100 years of the combustion engine but car makers still get patents every year because they find new ways to squeeze more efficiency out of them.
