    Why we need a complicate platform bound javascript or flash applications?

    If browser-based-os means we edit the data on the browser in place without needing a platform bound fragile editor loading from server, that is a good step forward. The browser should be a read/write device. Multiple protocol, multiple format, portable, easy to develop for. Not a in-compatible fancy jungle.

    The reason is in many occassion, people waiting beside you will watching you type if the password is masked.

    And that mask is effortless, just as the bank telling us to cover the kebpad when entering the password. The clicking sound sold it really well. And a hidden mic would really unnotice.

    If you feel the need, cover the screen with your hand, that also tell people it is unpolite to watch you typing a password.

    No. I am guilty. But not that reason.

    I continuously try to find a low power cpu. using less limited on time. But it is just the boot time is very very long. And the sleep mode very very unrealiable.

    Until they make os completely different. Making only the minimal in boot time. And use startup scripts to start process when needed. Allow process to die without affect hardware.
