Not to be insulting or anything, but what kind of dumbass posts such a poor and obviously fake rumor hours before the actual release? I hope this will teach you a lesson and only report facts rather then rumor.
Im not defending what Apple is doing, but i understand why they are doing it. If apple doesnt constantly protect their intellectual property (be it a font, icon or theme) its like saying "Hey, rip us off every chance you get"
If someone doesnt agree with this, thats their right. If they disagree with it because they belive in those Open Source licences and what not, maybe you should think about that for a minute. Those opensource licenses do the same thing but sorta opposit. Instead of someone copying it and not letting someone else copy what they did to it then the licence prevents someone from doing this.
This may be more flaim bait then what you said but hey, someone has to play devils advocate.
well, when my cellphone has a signal it will last a little longer then a week, when there is no signal it actualy uses less power. After 15 minutes with out a signal the phone begins to rest and conserve power, it will check for a signal every once and a while and will actualy use less power then when it does have a signal.
Because all the macs are all the same, installing and useing PPC linux's is way easier then x86's. You dont have to hunt down drivers for your mysterious lableless bargan bin PC hardware, you just install it and away you go. I personaly have installed every ppc linux dist and x86 dist i could get my hands on (on various hardware) and the mac hardware is far easier then the x86 stuff.
I'd like to see how well you do at beginning a new port of a distribution. Its not like you just compile everything with target=ppc. I do belive this man deserves negative karma! NEGATIVE KARMA! TROLL!
Hmmm. Well the bridge chipset is the Oxford Semiconductor OXFW911 2nd generation FW to IDE bridge and the drive is an IBM Deskstar 75gxp 30gig. We shall see!
Does any of the kernels support firewire and firewire hard drives? I'd like to put linux on my external Firewire Hard drive (kernel would obviously live on my ide drive tho)
anyone know if this is possible?
A while back there was a vicious little bugger going around called the Autostart worm, it was evil. It made its way onto CD's and across networked macs. While this was happening MacAddict released a CD and it was infected. but curiously enough, it was a good worm. (i wonder how it got there!)
Said worm would Infect your machine and spread like the others, but the main differnce was it would remove other autostart worms and destroy it self after Christmas day.
We all know those hobos are a wiley bunch. They will start making web ads and beg for money at every site that hosts an x10 popup! Some things just should not be online; Toasters, lavalamps (well maybe, i wouldent mind watching my lavalamp remotely), Garbage pails and finaly hobos. They will demand opensource Dinner!
Sorry man, but it must be pretty sad to be an expert visual basic programmer since VB was only ever ment as a prototyping tool; where you ironed out your algorythems and designed the user interface. After visual Basic you would normaly go to a language like C or C++
Back in the day of the Red menace the cia had listening devices underneith russian copper thats run across the sea bed in the deepest areas where it wasent patroled or monitored. then the russians would take one off and soon after another new one would be in its place elsewhere. These devices dident even need to be spliced in.
When Autostart worms were going around sneaking their way onto CD's and spreading across networks a mysterious variant showed up on a MacAddict cd that did pretty much all that execpt it removed all the others and protected you against them. It also removed it self on Christmas day.
I was cought hacking my schools old unix server and i was banned from using the network for the rest of the year (i was already 1/4rd into the year)
jokes on them tho. They allowed me to use the one good comptuer in the place to do my assignments.
Useing an H2O2 as the monofuel and a Silver screen as the catalyst is a bad idea for such a project. I doubt he can get the projected thrust from it for 1 and because it generates massive ammounts of heat if you dont keep the rate down it will actualy melt the silver screen. Useing H2O2 and an alcohol like Ethanol or just about any highly combustable alcohol is best since you then have no limit on thrust, the only limiting factor is how much you can force through the nozzles into the combustion chamber. Im not only a crazy college studen im also the same kinda rocket scientist he is!
What makes an Operating system Unix? the ability to compile source code from any given platform? MacOSX has all the compatability layers in it to compile source code from platforms like FreeBSD and linux, even if it takes a little tweaking (telling it where the appropriate files are at) but it all works. At best *BSD and Linux and MacOSX are Unix Compatable.
AFAIK the Deffinition of OpenSource from the beginning has ment the source code was open for examination and modification. Because acouple organizations dont approve of it does not make it any less open source. Apple just wants to keep some control over it and thats just fine with me. If i were to opensource something (which i wouldent, i belive developers work just as hard as anyone else and should be paid for it just like anyone else) it would be under a license verry much resembleing the APSL.
The Hindenburg dident blow up because itw as full of hydrogen, it blew up because it was coated in the same stuff the Solid rocket boosters on the Space shuttle use for fuel, or at least something verry similar.
First CPU was developed by the US Government for use in the Guidance system of their ICBM's. Yes thats right, the entire microelectronic movement was pushed forward by the US governments need for smaller more accurate weapons of mass destruction.

Is this like the old quickies we used to get but no longer?

51% of all canadian households are on the internet, thats way more then any other country.

I Remember when a 1mb 30pin simm was $100, that was such a deal.
