I can't stand all of this Microsoft bashing. Yes, they have done evil things, as has every company I can think of. With all the patent rubbish going on now, some people will still say the evil is still there, but Apple, Google, Samsung... whoever you name is doing the same thing.

Its time to let go of the sins of the past and actually give Microsoft a chance. I agree that they are not helping themselves much at the moment, but Kinect is awesome and Windows 8 looks pretty smart, not to mention how slick office 2010 is. Their downfall will be WP7 and their attempt to fly into the tablet market.

If I was to decide what direction to take Microsoft in, i would suggest that they stick with what they are good at. Desktops & Laptops arent going anywhere soon, so keep pumping out software for these, and build a nice new STABLE innovateve OS and pump a lot into the XBox division, as that is one franchise that will last forever.... Well, atleast until it becomes unrealistiv to have millions of degrees as the number, I mean, can you imagine getting an Xbox 237240?

I'm 20 now, and just because those games were out before I was born doesn't mean I know nothing about them. I know I am not the person that this post was directed at, but still, this kind of attitude really irks me.

Wolf3D was the first game I ever played, apart from the masses of starwars games my dad had on the Commadore. Followed by Doom and Quake and Duke Nukem 3D. I then got a snes off my uncle with Duck Hunt on the Snes scope, and other arcade suc games, as well as the original SNES mario games.

Now I am studying computer games, and for all you know, the person you directed your post at could be too. And hey... So what if Pokemon is the good old days for this guy, let him talk about the games he used to enjoy. To be fair, it sounds like you are just bitter because someone younger than you posted a mildly relevant post whilst your youth is slipping further and further away.

Your comment is like saying anyone born in the 90's can't possibly know much about the music of the likes of the Beatles, Hendrix, the Kinks, just because they weren't born whilst the other bands were at their prime. There are archives for a reason! /rant

he did come to fulfill it. What that means exactly is anyone's guess

I believe what is meant by that is that Jesus came to make it so that no man (Or woman) need worry about breaking the laws. The whole idea behind the crucifiction is that Jesus took ALL our sin, past, present and future, to the grave with him, and there it died with him. Now when God looks at those that have accepted Jesus as their Saviour, he sees a pure perfect soul.

That's not to say that we can go around murdering people and stealing peoples wives, even though the forgivness for doing that has already been granted. It says that God will give us the desires of our hearts. A lot of people interpret that as God will give you what you want, but I interpret it as God will place desires in our hearts, or mould our desiers, through relationship with him to what he wants to see in the world.

That is why you will find that most Christians are loving caring people, and rather wanting to be associated with the heirarcichal prison of religion, will just profess to have a faith! I myself despise religion, as it is just a way for people to control 'minions', and faith is freedom and love.

I used to get offended by it as it was used in a derogatory manner, but now, for some reason, Geeks are cool... Which I guess I'm ok with. You post a comment regarding your loathe of Sexism, yet state the women should 'Show the men how it's done!' That to me miss, sounds like a sexist remark in itself, and from the tone of your post, it was not in a jovial manner. Are you insinuating that women are somehow superior to men? Now I am all for equality, but one thing I do hate is superiority on either side. It is people like you, making comments like that give femenists a bad name. Maybe if these types of femenists would just shut up and let the rational equality femenists do their job more progress would be made to true equality. As far as the games go, and I am currently doing a degree in Games Design & Development, I would like to point out that exactly 99% of the games I have played and/or studied do not have the Grok Men or Almost naked women you speak of. If the game is like say... Gears of War... You can expect to have some heavily built men in there, and simalrly, if the game is something like Final Fantasy or Devil May Cry, you are bound to have some sort of scantily clad woman, even if it is not human. To sum up though, you have stated that the minority of games are the majority. you have to look at the theme of a game, and if that kind of character fits, then that kind of character will be there. Final Point - Dont like a game, Simply don't buy it. There are plenty of alternatives that are void of the things that irk you!

Hackers will have a field day then, and WikiLeaks will have more information than it knows what to do with!

I don't think you can draw a comparison between the safetey of a private residence, and the security of a corporations network. Put lightly, If a theif manages to break into your home, it is likely he will only get away with either one arge item (Such as your 40" TV) or maybe pockets full of Jewellry and whatever cash they stumble upon. In comparison, if a hacker can break into the network of a corporation, that means customer data and other valuable information (possibly trade secrets etc.) could be compromised. Another comparison to draw is that items in your home are likely to be secured by insurance, but if this data gets out there then there is no insurance.
