Since he has left me, I have made it a condition that those I am interested in not play computer games or use pornography. Both stifle the imagination whilst heightening emotions. This effect is dangerous - we should not stimulate those who cannot handle a heightened sense of awareness and can;t resist their desires.

First of all, if your boyfriend was violent, or even just too rough, You should have left him.

Second, I find your comments offensive in the extreme. I watch porn. I play video games. I'm also a loving, caring person who would never think of being anything but gentle with my girlfriend. And I'm no freak.

Third, you will not find a man who does not watch porn. The best you're gonna have to go for is one who lies about his porn and hides it well since you're obviously very insecure if that's one of the main things you're looking for in a partner,

Or for probably much less, get a bone stock Hayabusa or ZX-12R, both of which are capable of high 9s in the 1/4 factory stock.

True, true... I don't know that much about bikes, so I'm not that good at telling you which bike to buy, but I was just suprised this was news... A chopper engine is pretty sick, but a 9 just isn't newsmaking in a bike....

I'm quite sure a turbo charged, nitrous RX-7 could be pushed down the track in 8 seconds, but it wouldn't be very streetable.

True, true... However in a rx-2... ;-) Also, you should look into the japanese drag scene, all their cars are street legal. Buy a r34 skyline gt-r (or a supra TT) and send it to top secret with $50k and you've got yourself a street legal machine that would spank a diablo gt-r or this bike all up and down the road :)

This is cool, but it's not as great as they make out.... doing a 9.8 quarter in a motorcycle isn't the smartest thing to do, and for a third of the price or less you can build a rotary to do 8s... I imagine top fuel dragsters would do it a fair bit faster, no?

For much less money, I'm sure you could buy a 900cc superbike and throw a turbo or two on it and go crazy :-)

A cool gadget indeed! However, it works differently to a gecko...

A gecko does not use suction to cling to walls. Although their toes look like little suction caps, they actually cling to walls via billions of tiny hairs on the ends of their toes, not by air pressure.

  22. I love my zelda... on Rewriting The Past With Zelda · · Score: 2

Now zelda may not be a hard-core "man's" rpg, but it has a loyal fan base, which it deserves. I think the Zelda series of games (specifically Zelda3 on snes, Zelda4 on (colour)gameboy and the two n64 games Ocarina Of Time and Majora's Mask, are definitely some of the best games ever written for any system. It's the kind of thing you can play over and over, and if you're not too fanatical it can entertain you for months as you explore, play, and progress through the worlds.

Majora's mask doesn't feel as large as the last few games, but it's definitely fun, and a lot harder than the others- and I know a lot of slashdotters out there are looking forward to whatever nintendo serves us up on the gamecube.

Ever since I first played a zelda of my own instead of at friends' houses, I wanted to be able to edit Zelda. Cheers to the fellow with the insight, time, and patience to achieve what I'll never get to do! Job well done!
