No kidding, I picked up a refurbished Compaq P4 2.4Ghz 533MHz FSB, 256Mb DDR300, 40GB HD, CD-RW drive system with USB 2.0 and Firewire ports for $375 US the other day. Nice small case and it is quiet. Someday we'll be picking G5's out of the trash...
Plasma displays suck. Period. Resolution is low, resulting in grainy images. Do yourself a favor and get a nice CRT or DLP-based display instead of pissing away money on Plasma cr*p.
Despite this, I and others that I know, have been finding Google to be more and more useless when looking for things. We blame it on the marketing low lifes fudging Google's search results by playing games and tricks to get higher ratings.
I upgraded my Cube with 1.2GHz G4, 1.5GB of RAM, 120GB HD, 17" LCD Cinema Display, SoundSticks and Mac OS 10.3.1. Makes everyone dribble over themselves when they see it...
