    the city of Leiden is doing the same by providing high points with directional antennas to form a grid and omni-antennas to connect to the users who use directional antennas to reach the omni. the whole thing was supposed to be plugged into a landline internet connection at some point, but for now it is just a networked system.

    My computer does actually do things while i'm asleep. nice, interesting things but also common stupid things such as recording video on a PVR card. It seems to somehow stop doing that whenever I switch it off...

    The tax is not meant to generate money, but to stop people from doing things. It is therefore completely reasonable (but still a waste) to spend it on maintaining your tax system.

    A friend of mine works on a stock exchange as IT manager. He could unlock a workstation of a trader using his own fingerprint (without any further hacks). Local security didn't believe him untill he demonstrated it.

    It is not as airtight as you may think...

    Opera has been pretty popular for a long time.

    People seem to enjoy the combination of singing and acting (same goes for musical of course). It seems there is even a browser with the same name, which of course is a rediculous name for something that neither acts nor sings.

    The "traject control" system (delta x/delta t = v) is already operational in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. They are planning on using it everywhere around here. Damn.

    It depends on the level of competition you choose. a new pc even competes wih a new desk on the level of competition of needs and wants. you can spend your money only once.

    I'm not so worried, my keyboard is USB by Dell, so it should be specially made, I can see the whole cord, nothing in between and half the time I use the laptop keyboard anyway

    My problem is the company supplied non changable secure password...

    a pop-up prompt is not a pop up window. You should know them as much as mozilla users, just as you should know pop-up windows just as little as Mozilla users.
