    I think technology really is a double-edged sword when it comes to cheating. The means for detecting cheating are catching up with the means for cheating.

    Think a program like this will send a wake-up call to those students who have forgotten what the community of trust is all about.

    Technology has made some of the easy ways out very seductive and blurred the lines between what's acceptable and what's not. Cheating is on a gray scale. Things come rolling into your computer, and you feel ownership of them even if you don't own them.

    And that's what I think.

    I hate to break it to you but there is this thing called humour. It is a tragedy that some people can't remove the bug from their asses to enjoy it.

    And I hardly think that the levels experienced during the cleanup would be considered low level, or at the very least not comparable to the levels found in sound radiation.

    Scientists say there is evidence that low radiation doses can cause multiple changes in human DNA, that are passed on to future generations.

    They found "an unexpectedly high increase" in mutations among children born after the 1986 Chernobyl disaster.

    Scientists also say that there is evidence that those people who have stuck their hands in a fire, have recieved burns. Scientists also report that scientists will continue to investigate the obvious.

    I think Toshiba is going in the completely wrong direction with their new laptop. Look at what Crysler did, they went retro! Retro man! I for one don't want a small notebook or laptop. I want my money's worth. Give me a laptop that is slower that my calculator, has little memory and storage, weighs about the same as a small child and contains enough plastic to fill a room.

    When it arrives on the continent, the notebook will join Sony's Crusoe-powered Vaio, NEC's Versa Ultralight and a new entrant from Casio.

    When it arrives on the continent no one will notice! My laptop screams look at me! I come in five different colors of florescent!

    • gives IT the ability to back up user PCs
    • allows IT staff to disable some components or capabilitiesmay be able to get by with a smaller workspace.
    • removes the heat and fan noise of PCs
    • components inside the box can't go home with a dishonest employee.

    Plus I hate getting off my ass. Hey, I get paid for fixin', not for walkin'.

    I followed the course of action taken by law enforcement officers and various other judicial departments and figures, both on T.V. and the newspapers, during this whole ordeal. This, without a doubt, has had a negative impact on my life. I haven't been the same since. This is why I have filed my own multibillion-dollar class-action lawsuit.

    My lawsuit, which was also filed on Thursday, is against the creators of Cops, The Practice, Perry Mason, Matlock, NYPD Blues and against John Grisman himself.

    Ever since this incident, I cannot enjoy these shows and books as much as I have previously. I must be compensated for this and I tend to take it to the highest courts in the country.

    I own a Sony Vaio. Less than 3 lbs, and under an inch thick but the DVD Rom and 3.5" floppy are peripheral. The speakers are the least of the manufacturer's worries.

    Seriously though, I can see a bigger market in the home theatre market rather than in the laptop computer market. Really, when is the last time a laptop user has complained about the huge speakers on his/her laptop that are taking up valuable space and weigh a ton?

    O.K. let's look at it from both angles.....
    If I were Sean I wouldn't want to go back to the school anyway. I mean why would I want to go back to a place that deals with retaliation problems rather than the real issue. If Sean had been left alone and not 'driven' into such comments, this whole thing wouldn't have happened.

    The School......Have they not looked at Sean's record? Are they that ignorant? Here's a kid that sounds intelligent, has never been in trouble before (in or out of school) and out of the blue something drives him towards making threatening statements. Do flags not raise at this moment? Why were no other students questioned? Don't get me wrong, the comment was extremely stupid (especially because of recent school shootings) but the punishment should fit the crime.

    Lets be preventative instead of reactive.

    know the complete story. We will never know because the two governments involved don't want us to know. Both sides will continue to play this game until it is so saturated that no one cares. I'm at that point already.

    one of the most outrageous things I have ever heard. What do people honestly think they're going to get?

    40 million people that bought computers with MS-DOS/Windows preintalled since 1994, left a Minnesota court room today jubulant. They will be entitled to a percentage of the record setting settlement of 53 trillion dollars. It is expected that Microsoft will challenge the desision and thus tie this matter up in court for many decades.

    This is nothing new. Science changes its tune every time they find "new evidence" that shows that their old theories are nothing but bunk.

    Isn't this precisely the point of science and it's everlasting quest to prove educated guesses wrong? And a theory is just that, an educated guess, or a hypothesis. Science would be pretty pathetic is we didn't practice this way, the world would still be flat, the earth the center of the universe, ......
