One Line of Code every 15 minutes? Seems slow to me.

SCO.com Defaced

I have often wondered, to myself, what if this is wrong sinking to their level? Someone defaces their site and its seen as a bad reflection on the linux communitys.
You making the assumption that it was defaced by
someone outside of SCO. They have been keeping
their mouth shut lately, so what better way
to stir up some noise but to deface the website
themselves?
It's quite a comparison to the situation in the
Ukraine. Even bush says the whole world is
watching. Apparently the bush administration
thinks that no one is watching the situation in the U.S. Well, if they can have a do-over in
the Ukraine, why not in the U.S.?
Well, to be accurate, MS is referring to an OSRM report. But even so, there is no proof at this
time that any problems really exist, and therefore
one should be careful when commenting on said report which was
twisted into FUD by an abusive monopoly, otherwise you may actually be contributing to the FUD yourself.
From the article linked to:
"Microsoft is up to its usual FUD [fear, uncertainty and doubt]," said Dan Ravicher, author of the study Microsoft cites, who is an attorney and executive director of PUBPAT (the Public Patent Foundation).
"Open source faces no more, if not less, legal risk than proprietary software. The market needs to understand that the study Microsoft is citing actually proves the opposite of what they claim it does."
And that is because they can't control it.
All of the other OSes can be controlled by money
and marketing. The goal of the entire attack
is to be able to control the market. If you
think windows is buggy today, just imagine how
buggy it could be if there was no competition
in the marketplace. Linux is actually *good* for MS, it makes them actually have to try to make a better
product.
Back on topic, I wouldn't hold my breath on
this actually being deployed for 5-10 years.
SBC has advertised to customers they could get DSL
3 years ago and still didn't actually do it (in
a given area)
because the demand wasn't there to actually
give them a positive ROI. I'd expect major
losses by MS on this. But what's a billion here
or there when you've already wasted^Hinvested 20
billion already?
Here's how I do it. Certain critical small
configuration files always get backed up to floppy.
They also get backed up to multiple drives
on multiple machines along with all of the
larger files. I don't trust burners or flash except for sneaker net ops.
I call FUD. Name a distro that has a vulnerable service available, open by default, and does not have a firewall running. Come on, name one.
No delays at all with Longhorn.

You keep doing that, and you give Republicans a bad name.
The Electoral College will do their job on December 13th, and the results will be known in January. Unless things change before then.

The corps are under constant pressure to use MS software. The admin is just passing that on.
It would not have become a huge mess. There is no automagic update that could propagate like this.

But how would copyright law be re-written?
I don't see how it could be eliminated, as that would allow the GPL to be killed.
Always make a directory and put the files you are dealing with in it immediately. Don't wait.

That can't be accurate. I'm sure that 1 nanosecond is 8 inches. The ladies say it's less however.
Well, now that you bring up it, what's the IP addy of their NTP server? Tick and Tock are really off these days.
Objection: assumes facts not in evidence.
Bush won.
Not yet.
(I didn't vote for Bush.) Get over it.
Read the latest news regarding Florida machinations.

AOL is probably just trying to extract more money out of MS.
Inquiring minds want to know.
Wrong, wrong, wrong.
That's exactly what they want you to do.
Interesting, the picture shows a DIEBOLD machine. All of the counties should be checked, and the machines should be confiscated immediately.
Stupid TV shows.
You are unfairly IMHO being moderated both flamebait and troll. The attack continues.

I can't argue your excellent points.
I would add that (given time) that he may want to look at SmallTalk also.
At least for inspiration.
