Furthermore, small-scale fraud is pretty much guaranteed to cancel itself out. A corrupt Republican stuffs 20 dead peoples' ballots in one precinct, and a corrupt Democrat gets another 20 corpses to vote in the next precinct. Net effect: ZERO.
You're not thinking outside the box (the ballot box
in this case).
In your example, maybe it's a wash. But, at a
larger level (states), it is *very* significant.
Why? Because you don't really vote for President.
And since two given states may not have the
same number of electoral votes, a fix in one
state that is balanced in another state does
not wash out.
So, a supposed 'small fraud' can actually have
very large effects. See Florida.
In their defense, some of them wouldn't be part
of the Bush administration if they could avoid it,
but they unfortunately had to take the jobs because
they needed the money.
The GPP does not have to prove it. While MS can't
stop you personally from installing Linux, they can
control/pressure/bribe businesses into mandating
MS on the desktop. That's just the way it is.
The reason most traffic reports given out by radio (or TV)
stations are sub-optimum is that traffic situations are
very very fluid (except LA which you can count on
to suck consistently for hours), and usually the reports given
are potentially 10 minutes old by the time you
hear the report. Additional problems with bad
reporting are due to many reports coming in from
non-trained reporters (think Drabble) that can't
even get directions correct much less the correct
name of cross-roads. Additional confusion can
arise in certain locales due to the police
getting those bad reports, and then deciding
that it (ex: accident) is not in their venue
when it actually is in their venue. Even the
emergency crews can create additional problems (ex: blocking additional lanes)
when reponding to an incident. Reports occur
that are overblown leading to excessive people
taking alternate routes, which creates congestion
elsewhere.
All of these
problems with reporting can and do occur in
the first 10 minutes. Quality traffic reporting
is an art, not a science, and truely takes
luck to be accurate.
This may be a stretch, but I can interpret that
'license' to allow Microsoft and it's partners
to send spam from your machine to others.
Think of targeted ads to those in your address book
that appear to be from you personally.
The majority is always wrong because the majority is stupid. 99% of the population is stupid, not because they are all un-educated, but mostly because
they have been "educated". They are never taught
to think for themselves.
The Metro doesn't reach everywhere, many of the
cabbies are ruthless rip-off artists ("scenic tour" - not), and there
are many areas that you don't want to walk around
at night.

Fixed link.
Update: The company being sued is Autozone.
Personally, I suspect a RDBM bug.
The question is where. This is just part of the MO by MS.
Stir up shit weekly, create FUD.
Just more FUD in the MS campaign.
Exactly, they've got it all wrong. They should use that plastic they wrap CDs in.
No, it's been proven that the more tape you tape the slower it tapes.

It's those MS machines on broadband that are hacked into spamming zombies.
Contest? Seems to me that Microsoft is behind both the SCO and the Verisign machinations.
Can't you smell that smell?
Please. The problem is bad enough already.
Yes, they are now shipping CD's so you can patch your system without going on the Internet.

try finding an identical drive and swap the electronics.

It's a shame that MS has so much money that they can get away with this crap.
Anyway, to address your question...
Knoppix, a separate Linux server (hidden if need be), and Putty.
Don't lose your tools.
He really meant on any given day.
I have also suggested the same, but you have to realize that all of the built-in spyware would be discovered.
The hookers will protest because of the competition at their 'office'.
