Yes, BUT! and this is big.
The programmers released a gameplay movie before releasing the game, in which it shows you doing exactly that. Seems to me that such actions were fully intentional and encouraged by the programmers. Now had they not done so, and people simply figured it out on their own. That would have been a totally different story. Advertised uses for a product are considered to be proper uses. So the dumbfucks who made this advertisement have only themselves to blame.

HU? id has had huge demands for linux versions. The fact is that most people buy the windows version because that comes out first, and uses the publically avaliale linux binaries to make that work on linux. If they came ot with the both versions at the same time. You can be sure that sales figures would be very insightful.

From the research I can find there was a change of about 130 meters (390 feet) from 6000-4000 years ago, and that the levels havn't changed but about 2 meters sence then. So that can only account for at most 1/4 of it. Sliding 1500 meters isn't out of the question in my mind though.

Yes, but certain people are more pron to addiction. For instance I smoke about 3 or 4 cigaretts a day for the last 4 years, never having the desire to smoke anything near a pack a day, and generally can not smoke anything for a week and not even care. But I smoke because I enjoy it, if I cough to much I'll quit for a month or so without much bother. Then start back because I simply enjoy them. Now by ex gf for example started smoking and immediently started smoking a pack a day. And when I got a computer for the apartment we shared she immediantly became addicted to chatting, and would pay no attention to me. I recently broke up over that. And I just don't understand the addiction, but it seems to be certain people, who are most prone. Though I'll admit at one time I was addictecd to minesweeper -grin- seriously.

MS releases upgrade CDs at a cheaper price, which have to be installed on a computer with an older version. If after upgrading you can sell the older version, but then you nolonger own the original, so your cheating the system. MS would probably stop offering upgrade CD's (well atleast upgrade prices, as people don't want to have to reinstall everything) maby this will cause MS to release 1 cd that will do both upgrading and installing. That would be nice :)
